Siddharth Shankar Ray: Confusion between two figures with similar names. The character of Siddharth Shankar Ray was given insufficient screen time and dialogue.

Language Overlap: Mujibur Rahman's Bangla dialogue was overshadowed by Hindi, despite effective subtitles.

Historical Oversights: Ignored crucial events like the Soviet navy's presence and Russia's support for India at the UN during the 1971 war.

Focus Misalignment: The film, titled "Emergency," shifted focus from the 21-month political emergency to a biopic of the main character.

Pros:

Visuals: Impressive depiction of Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, Benaras ghat, and Manikarnika Films' introduction.

Casting and Acting: Shreyas Talpade: Outstanding portrayal of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, showcasing strong screen presence.

Satish Kaushik: Stellar performance as Jagjivan Ram, especially in key scenes like the "kitchen cabinet" and oath-taking ceremony.

Vishak Nair: Remarkable portrayal of Sanjay Gandhi, deserving of a national award.

Mahima Chaudhary: Delivered a powerful performance, especially in emotional scenes, deserving of recognition.

Anupam Kher and Kangana Ranaut: Padma Bhushan Anupam Kher babu and Padma Shri Kangana Ranaut should receive the third and fifth National Award for the film Emergency 2025. End of discussion, pens down!

Interesting Fact: The film's release coincided with the anniversary of Indira Gandhi's oath-taking as Prime Minister on January 17, 1980.

A deep understanding of current affairs is not only essential but also indispensable. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoyed the film; it was both engaging and informative. To conclude, the most striking and heartwarming moment for me was the display of the photograph frame featuring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.

The following are the reasons why you should not watch the film :-

1. If you have zero interest in Indian geo - political history.

2. If you have no concept about the Indian armed forces.

3. If you never knew about Sam Manekshaw was a human being who once walked this country, not so long ago .

1. You watched his excellency, the Mr. Manekshaw's interviews and video in YouTube .

2. You consider your precious life's time and hard earned money invaluable !

3. You consider the armed , air and naval forces as the silent protector and watchful guardian of this motherland named India , which is Bharat .
