I got the feeling that the general populace didn't really enjoy the show but my wife and I loved it.

We had seen the original Korean version and got very immersed in the games so we were terribly excited when they announced an English version. The excitement rose even more when they announced that David Tenant was to be the host.

We were impressed from the start as they seemed to have copied the the sets and games of the original.

The players were mainly great to watch and the outcome was that the best player won. I'd love to see more seasons but I suspect it won't be picked up for a second season.

We have tons of trivia games on TV but very few that rely on real intelligence, ingenuity and strategy.

As I say, we loved it.

My review title says it all. I loved the first series. It was cleverly written, well acted and refreshing.

Heaven knows what went wrong with season 2. The first 2 episodes were ok and there were some good jokes but every subsequent episode just got worse. Charlie Cooper's character was just awful and the strange inclusion of the Mucklow siblings just seemed wrong, perhaps even smug.

The ending of season 2 set up the idea of a third series. Well I won't be watching.

I still loved watching Lenny Rush. He is a brilliant actor and was a ray of sunshine in this chaotic season.

Season 2 has spoiled the whole show. If they had stopped at season 1 it would have been remembered as a quality programme but this last outing brings its reputation way down.

So, just in case you missed my point, season 2 is complete pants!
