If only the final installment of Mission: Impossible had been something similar to The Accountant duology, then it would have had a better ending, or perhaps even come close to matching the best films in its series.
The Accountant 2 maintains the narrative quality of its 2016 predecessor. The script remains the shining jewel in its crown. It's a very well-written film, unlike anything we're used to seeing in the action genre. Compared to the first film, the brutality of the action sequences remains, the interesting angle from which the protagonist is viewed and developed remains, and the elements of mystery remain, eventually revealing themselves, like the image of a puzzle being put together.
The things I didn't like as much were the revelation of who's behind the voice on the cell phone, and afterward, they gain an unnecessary prominence. Affleck's performance is also somewhat different. He's not as convincing as he was in the previous film, although if you think about it, you can find a couple of justifications.
In short, The Accountant 2 is a worthy sequel that, after 9 years, makes the wait worthwhile.

I love when stories feature a character with a high IQ, because it forces the plot to be intelligent. There are many examples. Sherlock Holmes, House MD, A Beautiful Mind, and why not? The Accountant.
Ben Affleck plays a neurodivergent math genius with military combat skills, who surrounds himself with a story full of suspense, action, and plot twists, although some are a bit predictable. His performance is good, as is Jon Bernthal's.
The story feels like a puzzle that is gradually put together as the minutes pass and you are entertained by the action sequences. As a fairly regular action-movie watcher, I greatly appreciate the intelligent approach of Gavin O'Connor and his genius accountant.
It's a highly recommended film, and one that I would definitely watch again.

Karate Kids Legends is a good sequel, with no direct connection to the 2010 film. It's an entertaining film, but unfortunately, it seems to have been made without much love or care. The greatest visible effort is in the film's soundtrack, which connects with new audiences. The rest is just another story, taking the classic elements of the saga, with a mix of new faces along with some fairly familiar ones.
The most neglected aspect is undoubtedly the editing. The overall pacing of the feature is inconsistent, with somewhat disjointed transitions. At certain points, the cuts can even be confusing. Aside from this, the rest is decent.
It's always nice to see Jackie Chan on screen, even if he's no longer at his peak.
It's not the best film in the series, nor the worst. Watch it, be entertained, and turn the page.
