I see that many reviews focus on the outdated effects and to be honest, even if those are very outdated, I really never minded them. I love the story. I love the idea of being able to improve human intelligence via technology. I love the moral dilemma and the idea that the more intelligent people are, the more curel they can be, giving themselves more importance and putting themselves above everyone else. It also happens to less intelligent people as well, but very intelligent people can be more dangerous because of what they can do. And of course, all of this was mixed with then novel idea of video games and potential of computers. I loved it as a kid and I mist admit, I really liked it again as an adult when I revisited it recently.
Or, even better, Disney adaptation that did everything right! I genuinely loved it and enjoyed every second of it.
It had all the feelings of the original and even mire. Although I was sceptical of the main actress in the beginning, she managed to completely charm me even before the ball, and aftrr that she's so incredibly lovely, I couldn't do anything but to genuinely cheer for her. Kate Blanchett is absolutely phenomenal as a stepmother and the sisters are spot-on. I like how they are not depicted as ugly, but as bad people, which made them very repulsive in my opinion. And the prince is so lovely, he is the definition of the Prince Charming. Helena BC as a fsiry Godmother was such a lovely surprise to me, she made me laugh so much. And the dress and the slippers are even more beautiful than in cartoon, which is something I never thought possible!

Tbh, I really didn't expect much from this movie when I saw the trailers, even though I love Thor, Taika and Chris Hemsworth, but it deemed like it's going to be cheep mindless comedy. I was absolutely utterly wrong about that and I was never happier about that. I LOVED IT!
Love and Thunder is beautiful, colorful, wholesome story about pursuit of happiness and purpose in life, even if you live for thousands of year or if you're just a simple mortal doomed to die in the near feature, what is it that makes life worth living? And, I don't know, maybe it's just me and where I qm in my life right now, but the end of the movie and the final message hit just the right spot and I couldn't stop myself from crying. I laughed, I cheered, I felt the romance and love, I cried and jn the end I left the cinema with such a warm feeling in my heart ❤ I really really really loved it! My friends and I qre definitely watching it again on the weekend 😁
