I'm old enough to remember B&W TV serials and some of those were B-A-D - but there's no excuse for how bad "Bosch" is! The plots are juvenile, the screenplay would be embarrassing coming from a schoolkids' drama group, the script might almost have worked if they actually had some real actors delivering it, but the Am-Dram Ensemble here are so wooden that they should have been taking it in turns to play Pinocchio in some one-horse pantomime theatre.
There's just no excuse for how bad this whole production was and what a waste of time watching even just the first season was - is there nobody with an ounce of self-respect in the acting "profession" anymore?

A pretty boring tale of, mostly-overweight, Americans undergoing "the worst experience of their lives" - having to poop in a plastic bag and having to walk on carpets which were wet with their own diluted excrement. One wonders how they'd fare in those parts of today's world where Uncle Sam is busily flexing his muscles - it seems that the Pioneer Spirit is long ago dead and buried in the "Home of the Brave".
It was difficult to understand how nobody died during their terrible few days of privation, especially since by all accounts "civilization" started to break down very rapidly, and they quickly formed tribes to protect "their" territory and resources. Luckily, another of their obese countrymen turned up in the nick of time to sue the cruise line, so their suffering wasn't all for nothing...

Poor writing, poor acting from the entire cast (no mean feat to cram so many ham actors into one show), interesting plot that went nowhere fast, the first season was just about watchable if you had nothing better to do, but Season 2 is just painfully bad and going downhill faster than a Silo window-cleaner in a leaky suit.
The villains and moral weaklings are cardboard cut-outs, and the arch-villain has just one expression and such a wooden acting style that one wonders if he actually has a real-life existence at all.
The FX are underwhelming, but they're also the best part of the show - perhaps Season 3 will have the empty Silo as the star?
