It should be titled "Missing" Impossible. Everything you love about the MI franchise is gone. If you are expecting an espionage thriller, there are 7 other Mission Impossible movies for that. It isn't this. The story is convoluted and doesn't make sense. The editing is so choppy and doesn't feel cohesive. Taking place less than 2 months after the last movie, so much has changed that is never explained. How is so-and-so president all of a sudden when they weren't 2 months prior? How did that other character get into the state they are in? No explanation. The franchise should have ended with the last movie. This felt like it was all about Tom Cruise trying to prove to himself and others that he can still do this. What a disappointment!

Maybe it should be called "Manipulating the Audience" or "Editing the Testimony" or "Ignoring the Truth". This mockumentary is the pinnacle of biased storytelling, audience manipulation and irresponsible journalism. The women that created this should be ashamed. They edited legal testimony to fit a predetermined narrative that wasn't true. They ignored previous crimes, clear evidence and other things that didn't fit their story. They weren't trying to tell the truth. They were trying to get attention for themselves. You'd think they would care about the victim, especially another woman, but they don't. It is mind-blowing. This movie was a boring, awful example of how good actors can't save a stupid story. This film could best be described as a train wreck that resulted in a massive dumpster fire, the likes of which you've never seen before. I barely got passed the halfway mark and I decided I'd rather watch paint dry. I just kept waiting for it to get good, but alas, it just kept getting worse. There are no characters that you care about. It is as if they decided on a single idea that would shock an audience and then said, I think we need to write a story where this happens because it will shock people. I wish I could get my money back.
