First, this is a nice miniseries, because it provides insights into daily life in a small Italian village. But more importantly, it is an intriguing story of murder and deceit, a real life drama, which does not follow the beaten path. Acting and directing are both convincing. It is worthwhile to find out more about this murder case on the Internet, as it has been described in several articles; but I would do so after seeing the miniseries. The case itself constantly puts the spectator on the wrong foot, which is a result of the complex societal structure of southern Italy. The villagers are both implicated as well as spectators, and of course, you as the viewer of the series are a spectator as well... you would probably be a criminal too in the same setting. All in all, a little gem of true crime reporting.

Certainly, Bakersfield is infamous for its high crime rate, which is 85% above the national average. There's definitely a lot of strain on the police department. But the question remains, why do so many people have to die due to police intervention, and why doesn't the police department put processes into place to stop these deaths? As this document shows towards the end, simply implementing, or updating the guidelines for police officers would have a tremendous impact. This documentary is well-made, well researched, and offers good insight into the effects of aggressive police behavior on ordinary citizens.

A compelling real-life true-crime story about an adopted son who searches for his father, and finds out that the man was the infamous Zodiac killer. This killer created havoc in the 1970s. The son does everything to discover the truth, even engages with a professional crime writer, and together they create a book that was a big hit in the United States. Watch until the shocking end.

Also a documentary about truth, criminal science and our believe systems. What is truth, what do we believe is true? What do people remember about the past, and what reality do they create out of that?

The story contains many learnings, especially for people who believe in conspiracy theories; a flat earth or the absence of a moon landing. Stay sharp.
