The first half of this special features an old man complaining, using a whiney voice to sound humorous but not say anything funny. I was worried. Burr is a legend. However, legends do fade away, given enough time. But it was too soon for that.
Thankfully, the second half picked up, and I saw the Bill Burr we all know and love. It does feel like he's playing it safe, but I suppose that goes with age for some. His observational humor is less insightful and more on the nose. There is less self-deprecating humor this time around. That's what made Burr likable, in my opinion. He would eviscerate subjects and then make it personal, which is hilarious because many of us would see ourselves in him or someone we knew. Not so much now. Still worth watching, though.

Madam Secretary was a great show until... No, it's not the usual reason someone doesn't like a political drama, which is politics. Madam Secretary was a great family show within the political drama of Washington, D. C. That's an easy sell. When did it jump the rails? Thankfully, toward the end of season 5, which is where they should've ended the series. If you haven't finished Madam Secretary, stop after season five. It's convoluted junk food in season six. And you'll know it will stink once Wentworth Miller's character is introduced. His acting is atrocious. Even when he has no lines, his acting is atrocious. I can't believe they continue to let him work. He's so bad he would've ruined the show singlehandedly if it weren't for the greedy need to go one more season. That greed will always ruin something good.
Movies are made of unforgettable moments. Wolf Man has too few of those moments.
It's a good enough popcorn movie, but you're not leaving the theater thinking about it. Wolf Man will be one of those films you watch once, and that's all right. Not every film needs to be groundbreaking, unforgettable, or life-changing. It can be just a good way to waste two hours, eat some popcorn, and move on with your life.
The effects are fantastic, and the acting holds up fine. Everything else is forgettable. At least it's only 90ish minutes, which is rare these days. Now let's see what they do with Frankenstein.
