I really want to like it more than I did.

It has the potential to be great and it has a good message, but it felt uninspired and empty.

Flat.

Like it was the presentation of an idea for a movie; a sales pitch. A global overview for a production company to see where it is headed. A baseline that still needs to be fleshed out. The animation, the characters, the storylines; it was all there on a base level, but it could all have been just a bit better, a bit more, a bit less cliché, a bit less lazy. Especially characters like Bazeema could have been an icon.

Even the songs (of which there were way too many) were boring and done before, except maybe for the one main song.

The premise is really nice and interesting, I really liked the idea of the twisted digitilising of both life and the afterlife, but unfortunately the main characters get stuck in a really cliché romantic boringline really quickly, with ridiculous triangle 'complications' to boot.

I'll probably keep watching a bit for the conclusion of the mystery storyline, if it doesn't take too long to come to an end, but I feel I might as well just rewatch the Good Place or iZombie, which are much more interesting than this and stay a lot more interesting for a lot longer.

Too bad, I hoped it would have been a lot more entertaining.

Who even thinks of these stories? Is this some American dream? Marrying princes? Or is it just the Hallmark dream? This must have been written by an algorithm, right? Or is it just the one script, where they change out the names, jobs and the name of the country?
