Usually with anime it takes a few episodes to get hooked. TOS has a charm that reels you into it on the very first episode. At first it seems like a happy anime about a girl and her alien friend, and then it takes a turn for the worst. You wonder, what the hell could happen next? It can't be as bad. Then it is, it's not as bad. It's worse. If I could rewind time, I'd go back to the day i first watched this anime. It was an experience like no other. The ending was incredible and didn't feel rushed, the beginning was amazing and got you introduced nicely. The side characters having their own plots going on that all work well and fit with each other. The plot twist in episode 5 is insane and had me on the edge of my seat. Seriously, just great.

This was a very well done adaptation of the Chainsaw man manga. It was faithful to the manga and adapted every part of it. Although there were some minor details cut out here and then for the most part it was completely accurate to the manga. The use of CGI for the devils is a bit off putting considering the fact the movie has proven they can pull off animating the devils without CGI use. The plot stays fun and investing all the way up until the end of the season. The seasons end leads into the movie well, kicking off where the season finished. The side characters in this season are incredible, The dynamic between Denji, Aki and Power is great and helps show the trauma of Denji's past through attempting to make friends. The other public safety members such as Kobeni, Makima, Himeno and Kishibe are all great characters. Kishibe being the mentor character but pulling it off masterfully, being a great character and made to show off how far behind Denji is in terms of strength and capability. The way they attempt to make you feel scared of Makima through her twisted methods that she uses in incredible. The train scene and the temple scene are both scenes that help give off a sense of fear and curiosity, it makes you wonder about her character and who she truely is. Chainsaw man is an anime I will always recommend to people.

The plot was predictable and repetitive, humour was good I will admit. Directors just put Jack black in any movie to disguise the bad plot that hides behind him. Could definitely have been done way better, but this movie just feels like a waste of money and time. Acting was also mediocre, wasted chance.
