This is a great movie. Yes it can be slow and at times talky, but I think that's the point. It was more of a character type drama than a space adventure. I loved the point of the movie. The initial plan was to get the most healthy so called most perfect people to have the most healthy so called most perfect children etc. The people in the movie came to the conclusion that it really isn't possible. Perfection isn't all it's cracked up to be especially when you would let someone die, because they've become sick when you could have easily helped them. Also the movie was about power and how even well meaning people can abuse it and become dictators.

One Watcher asked who makes these movies? Well who doesn't know Roger Corman or Loyd Kaufman, Full Moon etc. Also why are they made. Well probably because they are making money. What investor or company is going to want to invest in something that won't make it's money back. Yeah, they are cheesy and sometimes horrible, but they are still fun. When I watch a Roger Corman movie I know not to expect Lord of the Rings or the Godfather. I mean come on it's Concorde. Believe it or not there is a market for this or they wouldn't be hear. I mean dude Carnasour, Rapter, Deadly Outbreak, Cybervengence, The Outsider (which is basically a cheap straight to video remake of Westworld) When you hear the midi music that should really clue you in this is going to be a b-film. When you see certain actors that you know are considered washed up, TV movie or straight to video movie actors etc., when you even see chicks such as Shannon Tweed etc. you know you are about to watch a b-film.lol

I had been waiting for so long. I planned on buying it when it was Terrarium. Waited too long and found out it was no longer for sale and the movie title had changed because it was bought by Lionsgate. Rented it yesterday and finally got to see the movie. And while not a big budget/Hollywood extravaganza this movie is great. I'm glad the movie didn't have big effects. I think it would have taken away from the movie and what the director accomplished with the budget he worked with. Also how many nobudget films can you name that are scifi besides CL.one, Primer etc; and nobudget films that aren't zombie flicks or slasher etc.? The acting wasn't Oscar winning, but they were believable. I like the ending. It keeps you wondering what will happen next; instead of being told.
