Just saw this movie on low expectations but this was entirely a beautiful film. No big stars no big name except nirmal rishi there is no slapstick comedy. This was a topic that was surprisingly never touched before the relationship of grand parents. The film was just like going down the memory lane on the very first unconditional relation and unfortunately the very first ones that go out from our lives. Nirmal rishi has played a total different role subtle funny dadi. The kid playing as his grandson is also kid and these two are probably only stars of the film. The music and songs of the film also play an important role in story telling. Kuddos to the team that thought of this type of film.

Kuddos to dumb writer and dumber director and dumbest producers for making this dumb movie . I have nothing to write here as required that I have to write 500 characters for this review all i can say Is I am amazed people can be so dumb to make a movie like this. Basically they think that their viewers are even dumber then them and can watch any thing they make. These actors also do every other movie coz they have bills to pay they don't respect the audience and they don't care if someone sees the movie just because they like the.. so this film is an abomination a frankenstien with nothing that for a complete body just random stories put together to make 2 hour 40 minute horror show.

Guru Nanak Jahaz was a movie I had high expectations from so went to see it yesterday.

First things first the best parts of film are Art Direction. The costumes the environment, color palettes makeup and backgrounds all give an absolutely authentic look of the period film and it is better then Hollywood film. Second good thing is acting jassar, ghugie and Canadian migrants actors were superb.

But sadly films fall flat on two fronts screenplay and direction. It is hard to feel anything for any character, the main immigrants along with jassar have zero background story i think writer and director did the huge mistake of thinking that everyone is familiar with the story.

There are basically no moments of triumph or loss the film lacks the soul. Rest I think one should watch the film to see how far punjabi cinema as has come in technical aspect had screenplay be better it would have been one of the best ever.
