Saw this gem of a short at the Winter Film Festival NYC in a horror short block.
A woman has someone hiding in her house and slowly due to not too overtly explanatory writing we start to unveil the drama that lays at its core and start to care for its characters without spoiling or being predictable which many movies are these days.
Also very fresh is the non use of flashbacks which would have easily been done in a lesser film. The use of offscreen violence is very Hitchcockian to say the least.
Kudos for make up effects, acting and story, very effective short! I only would have liked to know more about the characters.

Loverboy: Emoties Uit is an entertaining piece of art with a booming rhythm in the third act combined with outstanding acting, make up, editing and choice of music and score, allowing it to deliver and not get boring like some Dutch films are. No spoiler alert here but its ending surely opens the door for a sequel or two! The violence is pretty brutal although most of it is offscreen. Cyriel Guds, who writes, produces, acts, and directs, has put together a fine cast of actors! The sound design is utmost competent by Olivier Rekers. See this in cinemas!!
A perfect saturday night popcorn movie!
