Ainda Estou Aqui might have been positioned well for awards, but as a film, it completely failed to engage me. Aside from some early interest in the period look and cultural setting, there was nothing memorable. The story felt flat, the pacing dragged, and there was barely any emotional connection.
The characters go through the motions, but the film never builds tension, depth, or real transformation. The lead performance lacked impact, and the entire film came across as safe and surface level. I kept waiting for something to move me. It never did.
I honestly regret spending time on it. It feels like it won for the message and promotion, not for any genuine cinematic strength.

Eden stays with you. It is haunting in the way it slowly unravels, not through dramatic twists but through silence, discomfort, and moral decay. It makes you think. It makes you question the choices you make in life. Most men seem to chase something their entire lives. But what are they really after? Is it really a utopia in the end, and at what cost? Amid all this, the journey of one woman stood out. It quietly reflects on the kind of choices women are given and what they end up enduring.
It hit me really hard. And yes, definitely worth a watch. It is kind of depressing too, but that is the reality and you get something out of it. Ron Howard pulls it off with such control and sensitivity. It is a brave choice and not a subject many could have handled this well.

"Greedy People" was a pretty enjoyable watch. Yes, it has a Fargo tinge, but with sharper comic timing. You genuinely feel for the lead characters, and I think the writer, director, and actors all did a great job. I especially loved Joseph Gordon-Levitt's performance-it's obvious you follow him more than the other characters and almost see him as the hero. But the writing makes it clear that he, too, is a greedy person, which was a bit of a letdown for me. That said, the film's concept was built around this theme, so it made sense. Everything tied together nicely, and it finished well. I'd recommend it.
