This probably is a good movie if you haven't seen the original 1960's cartoon, or the Ron Howard movie (the one with Jim Carey). In my opinion these are far better than this offering.
Personally I don't like this film. It doesn't capture the essence of the other versions.
I tolerate it for my kids but I think they will prefer the Jim Carey film as the get older.
I really don't like the music in the film. It just doesn't seem to fit. I have read a review that claims that this follows faithfully follows the original. I didn't think so, it may have done but I lost interest in the film and just went through the motion of watching it. It just didn't captivate me in the same way as the other Grinch movies have done.
I still look forward to watching the Jim Carey film every year. I don't the same about this one.

I was looking forward to this show. I just about managed to get through the first episode.
It didn't break new ground. Most of, if not all the content has been known for decades and has been captured in similar programmes. I'm pretty sure Abandoned Engineering has covered this particular location.
I found some of the experts annoying. Especially when they kept on asking the same question at the end of their segment 'so what were they doing here?'. I'm probably not being fair to the experts as this is probably due to editing and scripting.
In any case, anyone who has any basic knowledge of WW2 history could answer that. I frequently found myself calling out the answers.

Parents should judge a movie based on how their children react. My daughter first watched this movie when she was 3 and she loved it. At the very least it helped develop an interest in history. Two years down the line and she's still watching it.
I'm looking forward to enjoying the same experience with my youngest daughter when she's old enough.
