....what a masterpiece Denis Villeneuve has made with the Dune movies. I find myself comparing those movies with the show. In that light the show is a bit disappointing or a bit generic even. But that's not doing the show justice. It's fine for what it is and it sure is a lot better than most of the shows on tv/stream. That said there are still a lot of parts they could've been done better. Some on the acting side and some on the writing side. Some storylines are just lazy writing, storylines you've seen in alot of other shows. They could've done a better job with the intrigues and deepen the connections between the different characters. They should've watched GoT or House of the Dragon. Come to think of it, this show would've been top notch if it was a mix of Dune and GoT or House of the Dragon. Keep the storyline of Dune but more of the intrigue of GoT or HotD.

All in all I am still enjoying the show but there is much room for improvement.
