I initially approached it like some belly laugh standup and when that wasn't happening in the first 15 minutes, I almost stopped. So glad that I kept going.

Hannah is a brilliant mind and has some hilarious observations but they are subtle and you need to pay attention. It doesn't feel like a highly crafted standup where every line is delivered to perfect timing.

It's more like hanging out all night with the funniest, most thoughtful person at the party. Her observations are so clever, and ring true. I highly recommend going into it with those expectations and by the end you will feel that it was a good use of your time.

It was very one dimensional. The camera angles were strange and distracting, the dialogue was slow and laborious. 1-3% of the movie was about his music. We didn't learn much amount him that I couldn't summarize in less than 30 seconds and that's never a good thing.

They just kept beating us over the head with the same thing over and over. It never went anywhere or progressed in any way. For me personally it was pure torture from start to finish.

Sadly, I paid to see this in the theaters, pre-12/20. Didn't know it was going to be a Netflix release. Oh well, I'll never get that time or money back.

This show is so bad in every imaginable way. So, you either get angry and shut it off, or you can laugh at the audience overreacting to every little thing, the heart pounding music, the horrible hosts, and total over production. If you are looking for a proper show, you will be disappointed.
