I'm about to start watching episode 6, but part of me is wondering why. Episode one hooked me; I really enjoyed it. Episode two continued to hold my interest with the various mysteries that it presented. Episode three was less interesting than the first two. Episode four was even less interesting, and had me scratching my head as to why I got hooked in the first place. Then came episode five. I felt disappointment and boredom creeping in. At the end of five, I found myself wondering if I even wanted to begin episode six. I'm going to watch the sixth episode, but I'm planning to fast forward if needed. One thing has become certain: eight episodes is too much for what we're being given. I'm fully prepared to stop watching after number six if nothing grabs me.

I'm not here to rehash Seasons 1 through 3. More than enough people have already done that. I'm not here to complain about budget cuts and missing characters. I'm not here to debate whether Season 4 will be good, or a waste of time. I'm just here to comment on the incredible stupidity of Season 4, Episode 1 and how they dealt with outer space, and the moon.

Apparently outer space has its own atmosphere, according to this episode. There is NO vacuum, nor lack of noise. In fact it's incredibly noisy. Everything makes just as much noise as it would on the surface of Earth. Not only that, but Superman even BREATHES in and out while stuck on an asteroid. How? Where's that atmosphere coming from? He and the monster make so much noise while smashing up the moon's surface, it's a wonder people on Earth didn't hear them.

Why throw out everything we know about physics and outer space? For dramatic effect? I would argue that a silent battle would've been even more dramatic.

Okay, rant over. But I hope younger generations of teens and children still understand that in space, "no one can hear you scream".

How can you assemble a cast of actors as good as these actors are, with talent to spare, and then have most of it go to waste? I'm right on the middle of the fence with this movie; it's not awful but it's also not very good. It's a "meh". I just keep scratching my head at how bland, and even nonsensical, these wonderful actors were in this film. Was it supposed to be a comedy? Because at no time did I laugh, or even chuckle. At the same time, it was watchable enough. I never felt the urge to stop and move on to something else. I'm not going to go into the plot and story, because many others have already done that quite capably. The story DOES have a good, meaningful message to tell. I just with it hadn't been done in such a heavy handed manner.
