I will be totally honest when I say that season 1 was a little bit boring yet there was something that made me continue watching, it's really visually appealing the art director made huge efforts to just make every frame feel like you're on vacation, summer vibes and love is in the air. It's just a mood! Season 2 the story started getting a little bit exciting as you've grew attached to the characters. Dario and Sophie's storylines are the best in my point of view.

Even though sometimes the dialogue didn't deliver (translation from Italian to English maybe the reason), I would still recommend giving it a try if you want to calm down from watching thrillers packed with plot twists. It's just breath of fresh air!

For any aspiring filmmaker out there I really advise you to watch this movie and learn, every ounce of knowledge you gain out of this experience is worth it. Chahine strikes again with his amazing concepts and the way he perceives reality, an autobiography with alittle bit of spice to it, a coming of age movie! It is amazing how Chahine created his own cinematic universe based on true stories or in this case his own story. Visually layered, intriguing and most of all entertaining to watch. The court scenes needed more work but cmon give the man a break, the film was made in 1982!

Season one was really promising and I throughly enjoyed it to the point I've watched it again, because there's a lot of things the production team took care of as how they choose their filming locations, wardrobe and props which really blends the whole story into something you can binge watch. And then comes the long awaited for season 2. Let me just say they forgot all about character development and how the actors and script should stick to what have been represented before. Season 2 was really bland visually and was a huge waste of time!!
