Having seen the ratings as 4.8/10 we didn't expect much from this. However we think it's better that that. I've given it a six. It's obviously been made to a tight budget so some of the special effects are not that special and reminded me of 1970's Thunderbirds but on the whole it was surprisingly watchable. I think the actors gave it enough to get it over the line. It wasn't difficult to follow which is good for Saturday evening viewing when you've had a few glasses of home brew.

I was hoping and expecting this to be good. I was wrong, this is TV at its best. My wife is not a fan of Clarkson but she kept saying " let's watch one more" then another and another. It was compelling viewing, but Clarkson can't do it on his own and the other stars of the show and I mean stars add the finishing touches, tie it all together and lift it to the last step. This is better than Top Gear, and better than The Grand Tour. The real hard work is going to be Season 2, if there's going to be a Season 2. I can't see how he can improve on what he's done. Let's hope he can because I for one can't wait to watch it.
