This movie has it's disgusting parts, it has parts that will make your jaw drop,but all in all it is a wonderful movie. It is hilarious and way funnier than scary movie. I guess I enjoyed it so much because I enjoy gross out humour, and I don't take them seriously. The only thing that I would recommend is not to watch it if you are not prepared to be shocked!!! I can't wait for it to come out on dvd!! This parody is awesome!

This is one of my favourite comedies even though it is a little more low budget than most. I enjoyed it because of the hilarious characters in the movie like the grandfather, and Greg himself, also Greg's daydreaming scenes are hilarious. I found it to have a realistic portrayal of African American families,unlike some movies and tv shows that display black families differently and wrongly. This is another reason why I enjoyed the movie, I could relate to a lot of the characters in the movie and everybody was simple and down to earth. I will never get tired of watching this movie, it is great. It is not a comedy for everyone, that's for sure. To really enjoy this movie you would probably have to be able to relate to the characters, if not you won't find the humour in it. For a low budget movie, it is really funny!

One of the reasons why this was such a great movie for me, was because of the acting. Sandra Bullock did an exceptional job at acting as an alcoholic writer. Elizabeth Perkins was also great at displaying a frustrated and upset older sister, and Steve Buscemi blew me away with his serious role in the movie. The actors really made the entire situation quite real to life. Some people cannot figure out whether or not this movie is a comedy or drama. I'd have to say that it is more of a drama, because it is effective in delivering a serious point to the audience. The movie does have a few funny scenes, but it does not make fun of alcoholism, instead it shows some of the emotional, mental and physical problems that can follow with alcoholism. I even think that this movie could turn out to be an inspirational movie for someone who has perhaps had this kind of problem in their life.
