Train to Busan (2016) is an excellent zombie thriller that excels in many areas. The performances by Gong Yoo and Ma Dong-seok are particularly noteworthy, bringing emotional depth to their characters. The CGI is well-executed, enhancing the horror and action sequences. Yeon Sang-ho's direction shines in the tense, well-choreographed action scenes. The script is engaging, blending action, horror, and emotion, with a touch of social commentary. On the downside, some supporting characters lack development, and the pacing slows briefly in the middle. Nonetheless, 'Train to Busan' is a gripping and emotional film that earns a strong 9/10.
