The series "Flourished Peony" started in January and I watched it in June, because of the low rating I saw on IMDb (I think many other viewers did the same). I didn't know the actors (sorry to their fans) and I didn't show much interest.

By chance I saw some photos from the series and I liked the main couple and their chemistry, so I started my journey to the Tang Dynasty. I read a lot of negative reviews about the main female character Yang Zi and I don't understand the reason, really. Apart from being an impressively beautiful woman, her performance was absolutely successful,👏👏 she powerfully showed as He Wei Fang the oppression of women in a world made for men.(Probably the jealousy of haters affects the rating)

I loved Li Xian, as (Jiang Changyang) an amazing actor👏👏 I was moved by Zheming Wei as (Liu Chang)..He is gold actor. He looks great and plays that role perfectly. 👏👏 I admittedly find myself feeling a sorry for him...He doesn't deserve such an unfair fate, let the screenwriter give him a chance at love,(with another woman, of course) please..

Apart from the bad makeup, costumes, locations, atmosphere, quality ,were impressive..I highly recommend it !!!!
