The movie is bad. The atmosphere and the location where it was shot are the only good things about it. Everything else falls flat.
Half of the film feels like just another generic infidelity story, and the so-called twists don't make it any more engaging or interesting. The movie starts off well, but it quickly slows down in the middle. The twists also feel poorly written - they come out of nowhere and aren't properly built up, as if they were added just to take the movie in a different direction.
It's not completely unwatchable, but it's far from good. Overall, Black Diamond (2025) is a dull and disappointing film that fails to deliver on its potential.

One of the worst movies I've seen. The IMDb page makes it look like this is going to be an action or thriller film, but in reality, it's mostly a drama with only a small amount of action.
Most of the story focuses on the relationship between Beatle (Michele Hicks) and Athena (Ever Carradine), which is awkward and feels very forced. Their chemistry doesn't feel real at all - more like someone's fantasy or daydream awkwardly turned into a movie.
The main character's overly tough, "masculine" personality feels unnatural, and the film spends too much time trying to make this relationship emotional when it just isn't convincing. The writing and pacing make it hard to care about what's happening, and by the time the twist arrives near the end, it feels completely pointless.
Overall, Guns for Hire is a disappointing, misleading film with bad writing, weak acting, and moments that just feel embarrassing to watch.

Species II (1998) is a very mid movie - not bad, but not particularly good either. The first Species was more engaging, while this one feels flatter in comparison.
What I did like was the alien effects - whether CGI or practical, they looked surprisingly good. The production quality feels higher than the story itself, which comes off low-budget in writing but solid in visuals.
The movie is more graphic than the first, with heavier gore and body horror, so that's something viewers should be aware of. Some might watch it for the absurd plot and explicit scenes, but overall, it's just average entertainment. It's watchable, but not a good film.
