Okay so this movie is a slow build, as 2 people on the opposite sides of a mysterious gorge which contains strange things that they are meant to keep contained, who are not allowed to contact each other end up having a love affair.
That was the interesting and well acted part of the movie. Then, it turns into a video game plot with mostly video game action. The more they reveal of what is going on the less it makes sense.
It is both an interesting concept and some people will like the first part of the movie and other people will like the other part of the movie (some people might like both and some people might hate both).
Anyway, I do recommend the movie but you have been warned. Which probably helps you enjoy the movie more.

Okay so there is the fountain of youth, but not the one Jack Sparrow was searching for in the whatever number of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie it was, but still not point finding something original.
So I guess someone wrote a script for an Indiana Jones movie, and then someone said, let's make a whole new franchise, and then a producer said, let's set it in contemporary times to save on budget, but let's not waste time changing the script to reflect the realities of the contemporary world.
Anyway, there are people looking for the fountain, other people trying to stop them, and none of it really makes sense. Then ending too also makes no sense. But that is okay, just put it on in the background while you play with your phone or do work from home or something like that.

So there are legends of unicorns that have nothing to do with the cute fluffy rainbow farting modern versions, but about deadly beasts with magical powers who can only be tamed by an innocent maiden. This movie is the about the latter.
Okay, so the morality is a little vague, the gore is dialed up, and the post ending bit doesn't make sense, but overall the movie captures the greed of humanity, the desire to tame the untamable for wealth and power, and the powers in nature that exceed what puny humans can do. It takes a medieval legend and puts it right down into a modern context.
Overall, it is good to great movie and one of the most enthralling smaller budget movies I have seen in a long time. Maybe that is just me, but worth watching.
Note: Everyone plays slightly cliched over the top characters but all beautifully dialed right down to normal so that we know that the filmmakers intended while remaining anchored in reality. Paul Rudd also is doing this well, but not quite achieving it.
