Thunderbolts is a 2025 fantasy superhero action drama reuniting all the remaining heroes from previous MCU instalments to join together to form the "Thunderbolts" that team up to take down Valentina's plans of a mysterious character introduced as "Bob".
Sounds pretty exciting for us Marvel fans and would you call this a return to form for the MCU? Well, definitely debatable but I don't think it is, although it will be enjoyable for the new fans to say the least. Red Guardian steals the show though, he doesn't really have enough screentime but he was hilarious and great comic relief against the other characters serious motives.
Yelena, Bucky, Ghost, Walker and Bob were all great in their own rights too, I think they do hold up well and make a great team for the future, it was pretty cool seeing these rouge characters go all out, like I said, new generation of fans will most certainly enjoy this band of misfits.
Of course, it is flawed, but not in ways that put me off. Obviously they could've done a bit more expansion here and there, it also felt WAY too long, they could've easily cut 15 mins to get the point across, although that's kinda typical from a Marvel film recently, your not expecting some Shakespeare stuff.
Overall expect cameos and a great time, it's an improvement over Brave New World, worth watching for fun but I wouldn't take it too seriously, definitely stick for the end credits, worth it trust me.
Grade: C+

The Accountant 2 is a 2025 action thriller sequel, with Ben Affleck returning to the role of Christan Wolff 9 years later alongside his unpredictably crazy, but loving brother Brax (Jon Berthnal), this time our brothers are reunited to investigate the death of Raymond King (J. K Simmons) along with many other secrets and connections that start to unravel.
Let's be honest, a sequel was not really necessary as the first one was a good standalone movie, although I am definitely glad we did get a sequel as the chemistry between the 2 leads is certainly an effective one.
It does contain a lot more humour and light hearted elements than the original, but still manages to be just as engaging and enjoyable, it's just a fun time really, I don't think you would necessarily need to see the original to understand if you get what I mean. Great acting too and decent runtime for what it is, it's not perfect though, definitely could've cleaned up some scenes and added some more detail to new characters that definitely are worthy to have more screen time.
Overall, decent action flick, great time for brother bonding, trailers are a bit misleading about the "road trip" aspect but it's still worth a watch, it does what it's supposed to.

Daredevil Born Again is a 2025 superhero action series that continues on the story of blind lawyer Matt Murdock/Daredevil 7 years after the original show's cancellation, a comeback many fans and myself wanted. This time, after a horrible incident regarding Foggy Nelson, Matt retires from his duties of being a vigilante as he tries to start off fresh with a new lawyer firm and clients. But when chaos ensues at the reign of long time nemesis Wilson Fisk/Kingpin taking over Hell's Kitchen as mayor amongst other criminal activities, pressures Matt into finding a next step as everything around him slowly crumbles.
The MCU debut of the well beloved netflix shows is certainly a dream come true for all of the fans, many years it has taken for a fully fleshed out take on the background of MCU's more darker adaptations. Disney have really tried hard to bring back most of the fan favourite characters from the original show, and they've mostly succeed in ways I could've never imagined. The action is a lot more crazy, the narrative changes are smooth and even the violence and language have been turned up, even using F bombs that the original show didn't even do!
Unfortunately, they're 2 main flaws, 1. It's wayyyy too short, 9 episodes is not enough to regain some of the fans energy and hype the original show had, another 4 episodes like the original's 13 would've really helped, and even Disney themselves were going to originally drop 18 episodes until SAG AFTA and rewrites became an issue.
But for 2. A lot of interesting characters from the original or the new show are either killed or left on the shelf and that's really annoying because some of these characters are a huge central point to Matt's story so it's kind of weird for Disney to just leave us original fans with new characters we don't care about, like Matt's new girlfriend which I found absolutely dry and irrelevant to the plot, although most of this is thankfully resolved towards the end although it's still an issue I have as a fan of the original series.
Overall, while not perfect, Daredevil Born Again still manages to retain the style and essence that the original did, while continuing to build more and more in what I consider to be the MCU's best work in years, let's hope season 2 continues this trend.
