Very interesting movie...it kind of led me down a different path then that I was expecting. I picked this movie up because of the lovely Jennifer Rubin thanks to Screamers. Not a bad storyline and well made, but flawed. It is all setup and not much after. It left me wanting more between the main characters.
With that being said, I still found this redeemable. I would like to catch another film by the writer. He appears to have a good knowledge of people caught up in something more powerful. Perhaps he could be that guy who continues the tradition in the "mafia" type of movie reigns.

One of the better movies made involving the scout finds the "phenom" and takes him to the majors. Olmos is superb in this little movie. He brings that aura that he had in Stand and Deliver. Good supporting cast for such a low budget.
The Right Stuff is the best creating of light on a screen ever. The cast is dead on. Ed Harris, Dennis Quaid, Fred Ward, and Scott Glenn all seem to embody their roles so much that its hard to separate the actor from the characters. Every little thing seems to be worked out and planned beautifully. Kaufman doesn't waste a single minute of screen time. A movie that puts recent movies to shame.
