10 pinning and the occasional acid flashback.
When I saw this movie for the first time I was flabbergasted. It was quite simply the funniest movie I'd ever seen... It still is! The C Bros. have once again pulled it off: a masterpiece.
The dialogue is second to none and John S. Lyons should have won innumerable awards for his unprecedented casting job! Sure I've met people who didn't like it... But then again I've also met people who didn't care for Roger & Me. I guess we're just on separate planets.
The Dude, Walter Sobchak, Donny Karabozoz and the rarely appearing Jesus Quintana are gut splittingly hilarious and the essence of working class heroes! I love'um!
Since I fist saw this gem I've bought the movie, the soundtrack and a pair of clear plastic sandals!
I rate it supreme...

The Dancing Outlaw is so convincingly incredible in every possible way. The kin, the trailers, the mood, the entertainment, the tale of how Jesco nearly forgot his gold-rimmed shades, Jesco's three personalities; himself, Elvis & and the Devil! The theme alone - Jesco White the second greatest tap dancer of the Appalachians, his old man being the greatest (with archive footage to prove it), is insane!!! Are you kidding me? Is this documentary for real? My arms were bruised from the pinching and my belly aching from laughter after seeing Jesco in action. The movie is just shy of being as down home as the field recordings John & Ruby Lomax did for the Library Of Congress. Back in 1939 mind you. This stroke of genius from Jacob Young should - if not already - be filed under the L.O.C.'s Southern Mosaic series.
As a music fanatic I obviously loved this movie. But had it not been for Dr. John, Waits, Redbone and Johansen etc. I would most likely not have given it the time of day.
Got to love it though!
It scores a 7 for the cast, effort and humour.
