It's fun to see some of Dr. Seuss' other characters, besides the Cat, the Grinch, and Sam-I-Am. Pontoffel Pock messes up his job at the Dill Pickle Works, and wishes he could get away from it all. McGillicudy, a fairy, answers his prayers with a magic piano that can take him away from it all. But Pontoffel wreaks havoc, and falls in love with an eyeball dancer named Neefa Feefa, and soon it's a trip around the world to find him and the piano!
My favorite Dr. Seuss cartoon! The Grinch woke up happy, but got down to Grinchy business, and crashed into the Cat's happy day. The Grinch took a dislike to the Cat, and tried to ruin his day with the Vac-U-Sound Sweeper and his Darkhouse. But the Cat sets out to un-Grinch the Grinch, softening up even the Grinchiest heart. It's funny, and fun to watch!
This was originally called "Halloween is Grinch Night", but was probably changed after it occurred to the producers that it had nothing to do with Halloween.
Has great music, great plotline, and that Wuzzy Wuzu is cute! The animation's more Dr. Seuss-y than in other grinch 'toons, but it's not as good as How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
There are continuity issues when you compare this one to the Christmas one, but you'll have to watch both of them to figure out what I mean.
