As someone deeply passionate about horror and mystery films, I rarely find movies that strike the perfect balance between an engaging plot and horror elements without relying on excessive gore. This film, however, is absolutely perfect!

The costume design, story-line, and perfectly calibrated horror elements create an irresistible atmosphere that keeps you on the edge of your seat, constantly eager to uncover what happens next.

The performances are simply exceptional, and every aspect of the production is flawless. I can't emphasize enough how remarkable this film is - it has definitely secured its place as one of my all-time favorites.

I read the novel few years ago, and the novel sits firmly in mediocrity - it's the type of book that leaves you neither impressed nor disappointed. This is how I recall it from my reading experience six years ago.

The story itself hardly justified a cinematic adaptation, though the film maintains a light-hearted atmosphere throughout. However, it lacks any substantial depth or meaningful discourse - those seeking compelling narratives or thought-provoking themes should look elsewhere.

Perfect for those moments when you've exhausted all other options and need something to pass time. It relies on its aesthetically pleasing cast to distract from its unremarkable story-line. As noted, decidedly average.
