Fokke Augustinus was born in the Top of Holland but is working as a psychiatrist in prison in the West of the Netherlands. As his dad dies in Groningen, where there is plenty of space, hardly anybody living and -above all- hardly any mobile phone connection (running gag), he inherits the farm. He decides to go and have a look and -even more- stay there and starts to get things running in the Dutch outback...

And with it comes another story where he will be a would-be killer, drug dealer and most of all a spin doctor using growing pot as a financial boost. In ten episodes his life is changed completely as well as the life of his oldest son. His wife did change her attitude towards their relation. He has another job from now on and he has his influence on the development of the area (does he?).

Doing illegal things attracts weird people, although the weirdest of them all follows him from his previous employment.

Expect the unexpected. Don't fear, but embrace the worst! As mentioned earlier: it's a kind of Dutch "Breaking Bad", but on a more down to earth budget en really funny Dutch pedestal.

It started dumb (as stated before): we will rock you (electric guitar) in the middle ages. And then we were fighting! Looked good: swords and spears. My 9-yr old was watching too: it was like runescape, less than Winx Club: no worries! Real life-for-life fights, no blood, no deads!

And then (spoiler) father meets son after 12 yrs. My big son went down to tears, crying. So for me and my family this movie is NO PROBLEMO, 12+, NO! just parental guidance (sex-warning? what are we talking about: NOTHING happened; and seeing two people in bed is (i guess) just a normal thing for mums and dads (no XXX involved).

And then this was really big fun! Perfect timespending! Go see it!

A true movie about a heroic man, true friendship and love!

Being an atheist after being raised as a catholic, this is some nice way to review those old stories. My kids liked the movie as is, and wanted to know more about the story behind it. So I think this is a great to interface with them.

True believers may disagree. My kids do not.
