We remember the taciturn, troubled kid from a previous episode. Ty came through for him and he went off to a group home for kids on probation. He shows up at the ranch and talks to Ty. Mallory has a thing for him and helps him keep from getting caught.

Amy has been hired by a spooky farmer who lives on land with a barn that people consider haunted. He has horses who become restless and a danger to themselves during the night. Amy and Ty decide to stay the night and see what is spooking them.

This is the stuff of local legends and romances and hauntings. Amy is warned by the farmer to stay out of the loft. The reasons are much more basic than one would think. It gets down to a real human foe.

We also have a beautiful story from Mrs. Bell, having to do with first love and loss.
