First things first. Forever is my universe. I know people like this went to school with them and lived around them. I can understand if you didn't and can't relate to the situations that the show depicts. The writing and direction are spot on. I am having conversations with people who also have seen this and the comparison we are making about the situations and the people who fit the scenario are amazing. Both Keisha and Justin's parent's dialog are what many of have grown up to become. Each episode is an emotional roller coaster because those of us who can relate to the situation knows how it is going to play out. If you have any problem with this show, it is because you can't relate or you don't want to remember that time in your life. I have been thoroughly impressed by this. My only regret is that this representation is still in the minority.

As a person who has been around Spiderman since the beginning, I can say this is a perfect mix of the old and the new. The original Peter Paker was smart but not an actual nerd. This is the Peter Parker updated for the 21st century so I guess you can't be smart without being a nerd. This means Parker will do some stupid things the original Parker would never consider. Since we are in a diverse culture I understand the changes in the supporting characters. The animation style is on point with the earlier comic books which is a nice touch and better than the original cartoon of the 60's. I am enjoying this version of Spiderman and can respect the vision they are trying to make.

Cross is done very well. One of the few projects that has all the quality components to be a classic. It has direction, acting, production, and cinematography. These are all characteristics that allow the viewer to be drawn into the story. The acting is natural so much that one can relate to if you live in that environment and also have a diverse background which helps to recognize the different personalities. The style of the series has overtones of the movie Seven. The writing provides clues if you are paying attention which also helps to keep you engaged. If you are looking for something of substance, this a place to start.
