Saliva Soup

I really enjoyed this debut by Ring director, Hideo Nakata. If you've seen Ring beforehand then you'll be familiar with the style and idea of this flick. It's got a subtle spookiness about it that works better than the constant (and predictable) stingers that infest most mainstream movies of this genre. If you like films that give you the chills, then you will probably like this one. A good, creepy debut by Hideo Nakata. 8/10

Well....I gave this one a "5". By no means is this a bad movie but I had my expectations set too high. I personally love the horror genre and so I was hoping for more than I got. I would recommend to anyone that goes to see this movie with high expectations such as mine ... just go with an open mind and enjoy yourself. Maybe after a second sitting I'll enjoy it more than before. Jeniffer Love Hewitt was as beautiful as ever and the body count was, of course, higher and bloodier. As a horror movie sequel, it's good, but unless you're a fan, you are likely to find yourself bored.
