Mea Culpa has all the elements here of a really intriguing drama of crime, deceit, seduction, and suspense. All these components should have added up to an interesting cinematic experience, alas, they did not. Mea Culpa? Yes Tyler, this incoherent mess of a movie is your fault. Capable actors have to navigate this silly and predictable plot in a badly paced, unsatisfying, movie. Tyler takes credit., or should I say blame, for writing, directing, and producing this project. Perhaps delegating these tasks to more capable people would have been the wiser move, at least artistically. Then again, you can't argue with Tyler's success. I just don't care for the results.

Excellent episode, showing MR. Spader at his masterful best. Unfortunately it also clearly demonstrated how much Elizabeth's character, as well as her unresolved issues are of little dramatic interest to this story. Much like the unanswered questions about Mulder's past on the X files that just dragged on way too long and well beyond the point of dramatic interest or impact. I have no idea what the showrunnrers have planned for Liz or what startling reveal they may share with us. The problem is, at this point,I don't care anymore.
