We have never seen children fight in this galaxy, but as soon as children are the protagonists, we meet a society who wants them to fight.

That is, in my humble opinion, a pretty lazy way to let children in on the classic Star Wars battle action.

...well, almost, because then, they didn't even follow through with it. All the setup about the two factions, for nothing?

Last episode, there was this weird moment when the children rejoiced over hitting enemy crafts shooting at them. Shouldn't they be at least a little bit terrified by these life-threatening events?

My point: I'm not sure this mix will work, in the long run. Sometimes they are scared kids - as they should be -, sometimes they look like they're gonna "Han Solo" their way through the galaxy.

Besides that, I liked the first three episodes, but this one was stretched out, rather pointless and boring.

I usually rave about that show, and yes, it's been 30 years since I first watched it. That's how good it is, and although the pacing may feel dated here and there, for some, I still love it.

This episode, though. Ed's subplot is nice, but purely visual. A tribute to an infamous director, but only by showing characters of his movies. Nothing more, nothing less. Almost no dialogue.

The new guy, Mike, is kind of boring. His condition is the topic of almost every other scene, and it gets old faster than an egg sandwich. Plus, there is abolutely NO chemistry between him and Maggie.

My biggest gripe I have with Marilyn. Although yes, they designed the character to be that way, but it's still boring. The lines are spoken as monotonously as her facial expressions are. Whenever he has more than 30 seconds of screen time and more than two lines in a scene, my feet fall asleep.

To add insult to injury: the whole story has already been done and is a complete replay.

The performers in costume I really liked. Together with said Ed-scenes, the episode was pretty, and pretty absurd.

I had a huge crush on Maggie, back when I saw this episode for the first time, aged 16. So much so that it took me 20 years - until I saw the show again - to realize she's the reason I like short-haired women.

Besides that, the show was and is great, for obvious reasons. Given those two factors, this Maggie-centered episode is, to me, the perfect combination. It's funny, it's cute, there is even some thrill because of the danger Maggie is in.

There is also an appearance of a young and - then - mostly unknown Patrick Warburton. Together with the other ghosts of the past, he really delivers.

But, again, this is, above all, Maggie's episode.
