Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo

Today's talk of town is movie 'Goreyan nu daffa karo'. Artists of big stature like Yograj Singh ,Sardar Sohi, Amrinder Gill , Rana Ranbir, Aman Khatkar, Amrit Maghera ,Karamjit Anmol Binnu Dhillon are associated with movie . They have proved their excellence yet again in this movie.

Star of this movie is script which has been worked upon for two years by the talented script writer Amberdeep Singh who has written for comedy circus and comedy nights of kapil apart from writing few punjabi movies. This is his ambitious project he made sure every second of movie is best utilized. And Luckily all things started falling in place when captain of ship Pankaj Batra took charge as director. With this movie he proved himself as best story teller in punjabi Film industry.

Cinematography is mesmerizing! Cinematographer Vineet Malhotra boarded with firm determination that no compromises would be done whatsoever. He got best cameras and lenses used in Canadian film industry thanks to Production team. Icing on cake was Vancouver .When film is being shot in Vancouver you get beautiful locations by default. Every thing was best capitalized by cool headed D.O.P. Vineet

Producer Aman khtakar and Amrinder gill came after break of more than one and half year . They ensured that they are benefited from this opportunity and tried utmost to get maximum out of this. Amrinder Gill surprised every one by his by far the best performance . There was lot of improvisation done by him on set to make every shot the best shot. This is benchmark performance for any main lead actor. Karamjeet's one milni scene steals the show. Yograj's gigantic personality and thundering performance makes screen shaking. Hollywood actor Terence H. Winkless is only actor who could dare to stand in front of him. Rana Ranbir used gun as prop in whole film. He is in colorful traditional punjabi attire. When he comes on screen people start laughing even before he does some thing or says some thing. Sardar sohi is actor who has experience of more than 35 years. He is undoubtedly most versatile actor in punjabi movie industry. He played role of fuffar effortlessly.Aman khatkar and Amrit performed beyond expectations. Amrit is gorgeous. They r here to stay for sure.

Pakaj batra made sure every actor is given liberty to improvise his scene while keeping script intact. Songs are melodious and music is already hit. Background score compliments the story very well.

Goreyan nu daffa karo is gonna set new benchmark for punjabi cinema because this movie caters from elderly people to 2 year old kid who just laugh with back ground ....kaalaah...kaalaa...kaalaaa....kaalaaa..... Watch it with family ! At least twice !!

Best Punjabi film ever watched!!!! Finally a story make sense !!!! Situational comedy !!!! Must Watch film with family. I already watched this film twice . This Film has everything Comedy,Romance,emotions and great message!!!! All the cast did wonderful Job. music is awesome . romance was never seen in any other punjabi film, It was not vulgar at all. this film has no bad or double meanings dialogues . i wish i could give more than 10 stars. This film will be milestone for Punjabi Cinema. Kato Kahton Kato kahton stole the show!!!!!! Producers , Writer,Director ,Actors,music Director and DOP deserve round of applause!!!!

Simple yet funny. The Movie has a mediocre storyline but the laughs is what people expect from a Punjabi movie and it delivers big time.

The director has done a pretty well job.Overall you'll have a smile on your face watching the whole movie not even once did i thought about leaving the Theatre.

Binnu Dhillion is funny as always, Amrinder gill was good not great and the supporting roles did a pretty nice job as well although i thought foreigners could have done better,So Everyone did a good job when it comes to acting department.

So I will recommend this movie if you want a fun 2 hours ride with or without family. Enjoy your weekend.

Before watching the film I heard the track 'Jane Dil' (which I love), so I imagined that the movie would also deliver an emotionally charged experience. It doesn't.

The opening sequence with Binnu Dhillon narrating is excellent and seems to set up a clever comedy: however it's short-lived. It's a typical slapstick Punjabi comedy with cheap laughs for the most part.

There are too many characters that serve no role and are wasted I.e. Rana Ranbir, Sardar Sohi and from my perspective too many subplots I.e. Binnu Dhillon 'running away' in Canada that add no value.

The story is meant to focus on the relationship between Amrinder Gill and Amrit Maghera but there's simply no chemistry between them or character development or anything really. Amrinder does however put in a good performance, whilst Amrit despite having potential, is a bit emotionless and robotic in her delivery.

I wouldn't watch it twice.

I watch Punjabi movies to relieve myself of stress and this one is great at doing it. Amrinder gill's comic timing and Binnu Dhillon's punches were great.The chemistry between Amrinder gill and Amrit Aaghera is flawless. The concept of what would happen if we Punjabi try to follow English customs is hilarious . Director Pankaj Batra's movie has surely impressed us. The story drags a bit in the middle but picks up later. Also this story touches the topic of English suppression in a very neat way.This is one unique thing that defines the movie. Kudos, Punjabi cinema. I'll be waiting for a movie like this. And the bar of Punjabi comedy is definitely raised.
