Scott Speedman's intriguing new ABC crime drama continues to grow, with an I May Destroy You star joining the cast. ABC has had good fortune by blending crime and drama recently, evidenced by the success of High Potentialand Will Trent. It will be looking to continue that trend with Rj Decker, which will be led by Speedman.

Rj Decker is currently in the pilot stage. But if it gets picked up, Speedman will still be able to continue his role as Dr. Nick Marsh for Grey's Anatomy season 22. Still, the new project could see one of TV's most reliable love interests step into a long-term leading role.

While preparing to star alongside Jurnee Smollett in Misha Green’s upcoming hostage thriller Sunflower, Scott Speedman is ready to topline ABC’s drama pilot for Rj Decker, based on the 1987 novel Double Whammy by Carl Hiaasen. The project hails from Elementary creator Rob Doherty, with Speedman aiming for the lead role.

Paul McGuigan directs the Rj Decker pilot from a script by Rob Doherty. ABC is familiar ground for Scott Speedman, who plays Nick Marsh on the network’s long-running medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. Filming for Rj Decker should not conflict with Scott Speedman’s recurring role in Grey’s Anatomy, as he plans to shoot both projects.

Scott Speedman, who plays Dr. Nick Marsh in Grey's Anatomy, has been chosen to lead the cast of the new ABC series Rj Decker. Many know Speedman for his character in the medical drama, but the actor isn't new to the TV world. He originally rose to prominence via his role as Ben Covington in Felicity. Now, Speedman is taking on a headlining role.

According to a report from Deadline, Speedman is set to star as the titular character in the pilot of Rj Decker. The drama, created by Rob Doherty of Elementary fame, is based on Carl Hiaasen's 1987 book Double Whammy, centering around Speedman's character.

Rj Decker is a "disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con" who decides to become a private investigator in South Florida, but that only scratches the surface of his character. Since the announcement only constitutes a pilot order, the network hasn't ordered Rj Decker to series yet.

Exclusive: Scott Speedman has been tapped for the lead in Rj Decker, ABC’s drama pilot from Elementary creator Rob Doherty based on the 1987 novel Double Whammy by Carl Hiaasen. Speedman will play the title character in the 20th Television pilot, written by Doherty and directed by Paul McGuigan.

The casting expands Speedman’s existing relationship with ABC and 20th TV through his role as Nick Marsh on Grey’s Anatomy. He has been recurring on the ABC/20th TV medical drama after a Season 18 series regular stint. The Rj Decker casting is not expected to impact that, and I hear the plan is for him to be able to do both should the pilot go to series.

Prime Video is rounding out the series regular cast for The Runarounds, a fictional YA drama, inspired by the real band of the same name, from the creators of Outer Banks and Skydance TV. Brooklyn Decker (Grace & Frankie), Maximo Salas (Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies), Marley Aliah, Hayes MacArthur (Angie Tribeca), Mark Wystrach (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) and Shea Pritchard (The Summer I Turned Pretty) join previously announced real-life band members William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher—along with Lilah Pate and Kelley Pereira. The band was previously featured in a Season 3 episode of Outer Banks, which is heading into its fourth season on Netflix.

Filming will begin this month. The series is set to premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Like Outer Banks, the series is set in Wilmington, Nc.

Ivan Decker’s new comedy special, Popcorn, is out exclusively on 800 Pound Gorilla Media.

Popcorn is a culmination and celebration of everything that has happened in Decker’s life since his last special on Netflix — including stealing a baby from Whole Foods and attempting to raise it as his own.

Known for his unique observational edge, Decker shares his very personal experiences about being married and a first-time father while trying to balance touring around the world. His material is relatable, especially his passion for popcorn and how to make it “last in your mouth to postpone it’s delicious good feeling for later on.”

He says popcorn gives you a “rush of serotonin and dopamine that is better than any drugs;” hence, the ultimate inspiration for title of his special.

Taped in Victoria, B.C., the special was executive produced by Ian Arougheti and Justin SIlvera and was directed by Peter Carlone.

Mandy Moore is celebrating her ex Andy Roddick on the anniversary of his U.S. Open victory.

The “This Is Us” actress took to her Instagram Story on Monday to share her praise for the tennis legend and post a link to a recent GQ profile.

“Andy was a really formative part of my young adult life and although we’re not in touch, I was really moved by this article reflecting on the 20th anniversary of his US Open win and the kind of life he’s lead [sic] since,” wrote Moore, who dated Roddick from 2003 to 2004.

But over the course of 12 seasons and countless spinoffs, it has evolved into something much, much weirder.

Each episode features Heidecker and Turkington hosting their own public access show about movies, with the two men reviewing films they clearly haven’t seen (a running gag is that every single film receives a perfect “five bags of popcorn” rating). But the real action begins when the reviews end, as they frequently devote a majority of their airtime...

Magnolia Pictures has nabbed North American rights to “Mister America,” a feature-length comedy that’s being billed as an extension of the world of “On Cinema,” the cult Adult Swim show.

The film stars “On Cinema” hosts Tim Heidecker and Gregg Turkington and follows Heidecker’s attempt to enter the world of politics. Eric Notarnicola, who previously oversaw several episodes of the show along with its 2018 Oscar special, directs. Magnolia is eyeing a fall theatrical release.

In the movie, Heidecker beats a murder charge for selling faulty e-cigarettes at an Edm festival, and mounts a campaign to unseat the San Bernardino District Attorney. His effort to win voters tries to overcome a lack of experience and funding by leaning into the candidate’s personal likability. It does not go well.

“We unleashed Tim into the real world to run the worst campaign in modern history, and document the process,” said Notarnicola in a statement.

We don't usually track the ratings of Adult Swim TV series, so this is a bit of an experiment for us. Likewise, the Decker TV show has been a bit of an experiment for the Cartoon Network's adult programming block. The live-action comedy first ran as a web series on AdultSwim.com, before it premiered on television, in 2016. “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” is returning to television for a Season 6 special. IndieWire confirmed the news with insiders after seeing Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim’s completed episode during the July 14 stop of the duo’s “10 Year Anniversary Awesome Tour!” in New York City. The pair confirmed onstage that it will premiere on television after the tour ends this fall, but the exact air date on Adult Swim is still unknown.

Some really cool news has come out of the Cartoon Network camp today. Variety announced that Cartoon Network's Adult Swim has some pretty awesome plans to ensure that their current, future, and past fan bases will all be entertained.
