Good story but the movie lacks emotional impact

Maybe because Lopilato is such a bud actress, maybe it´s de production design lacks details and budget, but the movie feels fake.

Read the novel many years ago and had this sad atmosphere in an wild natural setting.

The other actors are fine, but the movie felt flat.

The ending was rushed and some characters should have had better background.

Argentine Agatha Christie Crime story

Third time now, that I write this review trying to tell that I liked the movie and why, but it gets never published, last try now, they may have their reasons:

Argentinian crime story in Agatha Christie style, good acting, great camera, nice colours, very good sound and the plot is fluent and interesting, so that you are in the story immediately.

Of course if you have read a lot of crime novels or have seen a lot of those kind of movies you know from the beginning where this one goes, but anywaz its a very enjoyable watch!

I didnt watch i for a long time because of the low rating, but finally watched it because of Francell, and i got rewarded! Recommanded!

Argentinean forties set mystery.

Middle aged Homeopath Francella takes the train to the hotel run by his sister in the treeless Bosque de Mar dunes only to find that femme fatale Luisana Lopilato and her entourage are already in residence.

There's some style to this one, with the forties detail (celluloid frame glasses prominent) and restricted palette (Digital Cinecolor). They cite McCoy, Goodis and Hammet but the large dose of perversity signals Agatha Christie, along with the string of close-ups telling us the characters are going to be suspects. When the murder does come, the investigation is protracted, killing off whatever momentum the scene setting has provided.

Definite curiosity value however.
