Unstoppable

This movie tells the true story of Anthony Robles, born without a right leg, from Mesa, Arizona. He was raised by his mother who encouraged him to stand tall and be himself in spite of his handicap. Constantly pushing himself to be better and overcome his handicap, he discovered a passion for wrestling in high school. Striving to excel he rises up to become a force to be reckoned with on the mat, in spite of the struggles of his life.

There are a few scenes where Anthony is in Philadelphia and climbs the same steps as Rocky, and stands in Rocky's footsteps. I found myself rooting hard for Anthony Robles, not wanting to see him fail. But when he did, hoping he would get back up and fight harder. And when he did, cheering him on with every fiber of my being...GO ANTHONY GO!!!!

The Movie is based on Anthony's 2012 Autobiography Unstoppable. It is a great movie, some of my favorite themes rolled into one fantastic feel good movie. The underdog coming out on top against seemingly insurmountable odds, and an Incredible True Story. I love the True Story Movies the best, and I love this one.

Anthony Robles was born with one leg. With the support of his mother Judy Robles (Jennifer Lopez), he becomes a champion wrestling as a high school student. He still does not get an invitation from the major colleges especially his dream school Arizona State.

This is a biopic of American wrestler Anthony Robles. Apparently, he's playing himself in some of the wrestling. At its core, it is the very standard inspirational sports movie. The family story has some interesting darkness. JLo is mostly doing good. I have a slight problem with one of her big emotional talk, but it's a minor issue. This is generally very good.

Unstoppable Seen Unstoppable in an early preview in the theater and love it. I want to share with you the from all the major roles were excellent!

Storyline was fantastic- enjoyed the rollercoaster of emotions.

Jharrel Jermone in the lead role draws you in to his sadness, happiness, and great will. Jennifer Lopez plays the mother with an extremely convincing. When the movie ended, I was physically worn-out from all the action/powerful scenes. This is based on a real story. The movie moves very quickly and great watching the plot unfold. This is based on a real story.

Don't let movie get away.

I highly recommend this film to all ages.

I enjoyed this movie. I thought the storyline was pretty good and the acne was fantastic. But the cinematography.... Way too much camera shake, even when it's not necessary. And it feels like the cinematography was shot with an iPhone. Other than that, no real complaints on this movie.

You don't see too many motivational type movies like this anymore. The story of a one legged athlete who strives to be a national champion is pretty darn cool. Kinda has a karate kid type vibe.

Worth watching if you haven't already seen it. But not really the kind of movie I would come back to watch to twice, unless it was with somebody else who haven't seen it, who wants to watch it with you.

Based on the true story of wrestler Anthony Robles whose goal is to become Nationals Champion despite his disability. The film stars Jharrel Jerome as Anthony Robles. Jennifer Lopez plays his Mom Judy. Don Cheadle is his college wrestling coach Shawn Charles. The performance by Jerome and Cheadle were excellent. The rest of the cast were just average to be honest including Jennifer Lopez. I found this film about an inspiring story less than inspiring due to the lack of emotion I felt. A film like this should make you want to stand up and cheer and maybe go out and do some crunches or run around the block. You know like one of the Rocky films or Hoosiers or Vision Quest. A training.montage with great music would have helped. While it's not a bad film it's far from great.
