The song playing during the intro is "Left Hand Free" performed by the British band alt-J. alt-J is an indie rock band formed in 2007 in Leeds.

The series was cancelled by the BBC after one series following negative reception from critics.

O-T Fagbenle (Ash) & Lorraine Ashbourne (Valerie) also worked together on Thorne: Sleepyhead (2010) & Thorne: Scaredycat (2010) as Dave Holland & Ruth Brigstocke respectively.
