Reviewers say 'Medusa' offers an intriguing premise with strong performances and fitting casting, yet it is criticized for its inconsistent, predictable storyline and unlikable characters. The series' excessive focus on sex scenes and uneven pacing, with moments that drag and others that rush through details, detract from its potential. Despite some engaging elements, the show fails to deliver a compelling crime mystery, leaving many viewers disappointed.
फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
I was looking forward to watching this show because so many of my favorite actors from La Reina Del Flow were in it especially Carlos Torres who I think is one of the best actors of our generation. After the first episode, I thought maybe it will get better on the second one. Another episode with terrible writing and multiple sex scenes to distract from the disaster of a show from beginning to end, just terrible writers and lack of creativity really made this series unbearable to watch. I managed to get to the fourth episode and by then could no longer justify the waste of my precious time on such a poorly made series. Shame because some of the cast happen to be brilliant actors and this disaster did nothing to showcase their talent.
This is simply a story designed to include as many sex scenes as possible of infinite variety. Barbara has just been named CEO of Medusa - a huge company run by her father Damian. We then go on an endless introduction of who everyone in the family is and their position in the company. That should have been spread out to allow the viewer time to assimilate the information. Barbara decides to go for a boat ride alone so as she can lie on the boat and well - make herself happy. BOOM - boat blows up and Barbara is in the water being attacked by two guys - no explanation how they appeared out of the blue. They cut off her finger - that is the end of that - it never tells you why. Back home policeman Danger is put on the case but soon taken off it as somebody doesn't want it solved.
Needless to say he and Barbara soon become lovers. Her husband Esteban told him to watch her - they have been in an open marriage for years so he should have known better. Her brother Cristian is now CEO. Pretty soon the gay element arrives and continues in the form of male and female participants. It seems Barbara was rescued by the leader of an Amazon tribe who cultivated a magic mushroom which Barbara uses throughout - Barbara was in love with her but has forgotten everything that happened before the accident. The story continues with her investigating her family and finding out all their secrets - sexual of course. This series would have stretched to two episodes if all the sex scenes were deleted. To add insult to injury the acting was pretty awful too. It takes all twelve episodes to unmask the killer when it was pretty obvious from the beginning whom it was.

Taking a script that looks like Dallas where everyone is stabbing each others, with a rather cheesy soft romance and unnecessary sex scenes that brings nothing to the characters nor the story. Some omnipresent characters throughout the series are one dimension, and don't evolve. Difficult to watch most of the time. The story line doesn't matter any more after the first episode, as no continuity in the story line. Just some random fact pop up like that out of the blue. As I said it feels like watching a series à l'eau de rose from the 80s b production. I watched it in English, so maybe the dubbing was bad. Not sure if it was in Spanish to start with.
This crime, mystery, and investigation series had the potential to be truly compelling, but unfortunately, it falls short due to poor execution. The premise itself is intriguing, and with the right direction, it could have been an intense and engaging story. However, the creators failed to fully explore its potential, resulting in a show that feels underwhelming and, at times, frustrating.
One of the biggest missteps is the casting and characterization. The directors made questionable choices for almost every character, making it difficult to connect with them or believe in their roles. Whether it's miscast actors or poorly written character arcs, the result is a lack of depth and authenticity that weakens the story's impact.
Instead of delivering the gripping suspense and intelligent storytelling expected from a series of this genre, it often falls into clichés and predictable developments. The pacing is inconsistent, with moments that drag unnecessarily and others that rush through important details, leaving key aspects underdeveloped.
Overall, while the series had all the ingredients to be great, it ultimately misses the mark. It's a disappointing watch for those looking for a well-crafted crime mystery, as it fails to deliver on both character development and narrative depth.

Medusa is an okay watch-neither outstanding nor disappointing. The lead characters have done a commendable job, and the casting feels spot-on. Each actor fits their role well, making the performances one of the series' strong points.
The storyline, however, feels a bit inconsistent. At times, the plot suggests that a character is bad, only to later portray them as good-only for them to turn bad again. This back-and-forth felt a little off, making it hard to fully connect with the story. That said, the premise is intriguing, revolving around the lead heroine's quest to uncover who tried to kill her. The added layer of her amnesia adds to the mystery.
As the story unfolds, dark family secrets come to light, revealing how far people will go for power. The tension between characters is well-developed, though the ending was fairly predictable for me. I could sense where certain tentions were heading, and the ultimate conflict was expected.
Overall, Mediosa is an engaging but somewhat flawed thriller. It has its moments of intrigue but doesn't quite hit the mark for a top-tier mystery drama. Still, it's a decent watch for fans of family drama and suspense.
