Absolutely loved this! A must watch documentary based on one of the top unsolved case of November 2020, Nagpur muder case. This was a story must to be told. The entire story is more interesting n complex than a movie itself. A high profile case that includes 4 murders, love story, poor n rich class distinction, questionable justice, legal system etc. Though I've seen several documentaries, this stands apart in terms of story telling n direction. This keeps one completely hooked on from beginning to end leaving viewers with so many questions n in a puzzle of who is right n wrong with lots of nuances in the case. A perfect apt title 'Black white n gray - love kills'. Highly recommended to watch. A total of 6 episodes with an average 30 to 40 mins each. Avilable in all South Indian languages including Hindi as well on Sony LIV. My ratings 10/10!
Black, White and Gray: Love Kills is an intriguing spin on the crime drama with its mockumentary format, aiming to blur the lines between reality and fiction by filming the 'real' incidents as they unfold. This approach feels genuinely fresh and innovative, injecting a unique stylistic element into the narrative.
However, the series struggles with the performances of its 'real' characters. Their acting often feels exaggerated, making it transparently obvious that these are fictionalized events rather than genuine occurrences. This over-the-top portrayal unfortunately breaks the illusion the mockumentary style strives to create.
Despite this flaw, the professional actors deliver strong performances. Mayur More is particularly brilliant, truly excelling in his role, and Tigmanshu Dhulia also brings his characteristic gravitas. Palak Jaiswal is both charming and performs admirably, holding her own amidst the more seasoned cast.
The story itself, while initially engaging, tends to drag in the middle, especially during the extended sequences where the characters are on the run from the girl's father's assassin. This prolonged chase feels a bit stretched and contributes to pacing issues.
One character that felt largely superfluous was the foreigner, Daniel Gray. His inclusion didn't seem to add significant value or depth to the core crime story, leaving one to question his necessity in the overall plot.
Despite these criticisms, it is ultimately a good drama that deserves credit for its bold and novel conceptualization. It's an interesting watch for those looking for something outside the typical crime genre, even if its execution isn't always perfectly smooth.
The way media was exposed in the last episode, you definitely have to give it one more star. So my rating is 7 out of 10.

Was just scrolling around, thought I'd give it a shot-and wow, I couldn't stop. Binge-watched the entire thing in one sitting. Trust me, it pulls you in fast and doesn't let go.
The storytelling is next level. Mixing real interviews, raw footage, and scripted drama in such a seamless way... it felt so real and gripping. The investigative depth, the pacing, the emotional beats-it's all top-notch. And that final twist? Still thinking about it.
Massive respect to the creators and the whole Sony LiV team. You've raised the bar. Hoping to see more documentaries like this-powerful, intelligent, and bold.

This story is a work of fiction and this is even mentioned in the Disclaimer at the beginning. But its an Epic of a fiction, which takes you through each and every emotion which is beautifully captured. Shows the reality of today's world and the way things can be and/or manipulated by each human. You will never feel that its a fiction and will keep you involved throughout the 6 episodes of the series. Well acted and directed and narrated. One of the few series which surpasses expectations to leave a everlasting mark on your memory.
Worth a watch and must recommended for all.
I even liked the way there was a neutral view given to both sides of the story or I might say many sides of the story.
