In the spirit of animal conservation, "Moon, le Panda" is a very good film. I understand that the director, Gilles de Maistre, specialises in animal and landscape photography. The misty mountains of China's Sichuan Province and the majestic panda serve as an excellent canvas for this. What results is a very nice film and a nice deviation from the trends of cinema today.

I thoroughly enjoyed my watch. It reminded me of why I used to love going to the cinema and for that I owe it a debt of gratitude.

I have seen some reviewers say that the panda doesn't contribute to the story. They must remember that sitting around eating bamboo is what pandas do. Using a real panda in cinematography means that it will behave like a panda.
