When the announcement was made that WWE would be releasing an Nxt Greatest Matches Vol. 1 DVD and Blu-Ray, fans – especially those without the benefit of the WWE Network – were excited to have a chance to see current and future WWE superstars in some of the most pivotal bouts of their careers.

The set will be available March 2016, and the DVD features 15 matches from the entire Full Sail era of Nxt, while the Blu-Ray edition adds another 5 matches exclusively.

Nxt Arrival was a major success for WWE and its developmental brand. It featured stellar in-ring work from the three announced main events and exposed the next generation of stars to an all-new viewing audience. Sami Zayn, Paige, Emma, Adrian Neville and Bo Dallas received major boosts in notoriety thanks to their performances on the show.

On Thursday, April 24, Triple H announced that Nxt would again present a special event on the WWE Network, this one entitled Takeover. Later that night, the company held Nxt television tapings and during that event, it was revealed that Tyson Kidd will challenge Adrian Neville for the Nxt Championship. The tournament to crown a new Women’s champion also unfolded on that show.
