The women who drive back to monsters and purify the land are the saints. Every country needs at least one. Girtonia boasts of being the home of the GSOAT ~ greatest saint of all time, Philia Adenauer. The thing about Philia is that she never smiles. Never. Saint Mia's smile lights up the entire world. The people adore MIA. What makes it worse is that Mia is her sister. We watch as Philia arrives at home; her mother lambasts her for having such an awful personality. It "reflects poorly" on them. It "reflects poorly" on MIA. Mom cares nothing about Philia's supreme skills.
When Philia survives at home, we see that even she thinks that Mia is so /kawaii/😍. Her parents never loved her but they doted on adorable Mia. Philia reached out in the only way she knew how. She kept her head down and worked. Then she studied. Then she worked some more. There's no time for fun or rest. Philia hopes that her efforts will result in her parents loving her, or at least approving of her. People never warmed to her because she is emotionless and nearly non-responsive. She's incapable of chit-chat. Philia has applied herself like a slave, all day, every day, for the good of the people of Girtonia and in hopes of connecting with others. But nobody notices. Nobody but Mia. Mia loves her older sister. She knows exactly who and what Philia is, and Mia is the only thing that makes coming home tolerable for Philia.
Based on a light novel by Authors: Masami (Art) & Fuyutsuki, Kouki (Story), TTPS is a 2025 TROYCA studios release that is rated 7.27 on MAL. It is 1 season consisting of 12 23-minute English dubbed episodes with CC available. Gilded walls, chandeliers, bouquets of flowers, pearl encrusted gemstone hair ornaments: The animation is very pretty while being light and airy at the same time. The people are pretty, the eyes are pretty, and the voice acting is quite nice. This is a seamlessly well done production. It flows.
Philia is summoned to the Palace to visit her fiance, Prince Julius. He seems a shallow sort. He glibbly announces that their engagement is terminated. He beams as if this is the most glorious news he's ever heard😃. He wants to marry her sister. Mia. He wants MIA. To make sure that his plan goes off without a hitch, he's hitching Philia to the neighboring country of Parnacorta (it sounds like something delicious to eat). Their saint just died. They bought Philia. They paid a bundle. Isn't that great!? 😁 This deal should make /everyone/ happy! He's still beaming.
So, she's been sold off. For a boatload of money, I might add. Her parents are now in the room, and they're gleeful. She may never see them again, but they don't seem to care in the least. In fact, they've never been this pleased with her.
It's not like one can trade Wilt Chamberlain or Connor McDavid to another team and expect to still win championships. This girl is the greatest. The prince is taking her for granted. She's been putting alot more time and effort in than anybody knows. They're going to miss her more than they realize.
M&D didn't even let Philia say goodbye to Mia! She was sent to Parnacorta immediately. She was taken aback by the welcome. Her first step into Parnacorta was met with a band and other fanfare. There was a welcoming party (led by an almost pretty and excessively cheerful blonde guy), the band, the reception, and then finally, home. Home's a show stopper. Philia's mansion in Parnacorta is bigger than her parents' place! She's assigned staff: Rina and Leonardo are a maid & butler, but they're actually bodyguards. They back her up on her monster killing missions. They back her up in everything and cater to her every need. (There's no whims to cater to. Philia's never been in a place where she could have a whim). Rina and Leonardo are constantly telling Philia to rest, take some time off, treat herself... indulge alittle, alright already!
Meanwhile, back home, Mia misses her sister. She's suspicious. They're telling her that Philia /wanted/ to leave, but her sister would NEVER leave her with no word. Her sister would never fail to prepare Mia to assume lead Saint duties. She's been invited to see Prince Julius, and she's hoping to get some intel from him. As she enters his office, a few dozen red roses are shoved in her face💐. The prince proposes to her!
How disgusting.
Mia makes a spot decision to go along with Julius, for now, until she gets the full story. Once she finds out what happened, she'll pay back any and all who've abused her Philia.
One thing Mia has noticed is that monsters are multiplying. Philia, out with Parnacorta's 2nd prince, Osvalt (that cheerful blonde guy from the welcoming party), has noticed the increase in monsters and makes mention of it to him. He questions her further. Her theory is that Hell, where monsters are spawned, is breaking through to the surface. Osvalt calls a security council meeting to discuss the potential threat. They don't have sufficient proof to deploy many troops. They probably don't have enough troops anyway. Philia believes she can set a protective barrier around the entire country. It would require that she stay in the center - the capital - but then the monsters would be easy to kill, even with the small number of troops that they have.
Philia is worried about how Mia will handle this for Girtonia. In-depth knowledge of ancient magic is required, something of which Mia knows nothing. Philia writes to Mia about how she sees the issue and the solution.
Mia is fighting valiantly back in Girtonia, but the monsters are multiplying. Without a protection circle over the country the monsters are dangerous, too. They aren't going down easy like the ones in Parnacorta under Philia's protective spell. Mia's fighting monsters all day and trying to butter up the horrible Prince Julius at night. His father and brother are very ill. Since Philia's been gone, the recipe for the king's medicine is also gone. It's missing! Things are looking very suspicious. Julius isn't even the oldest prince. The Crown Prince has been cloistered away in bad health. Mia decides to go meet him. Why hasn't he been taking his medicine? Mia doesn't understand him. If he takes his medicine and feels better, then Julius will kill him, he says. He's a bit of a chicken. He needs some backbone. Mia visits him daily. She takes food & medicine, she makes him conversate and she bathes the room in sunlight. She gives him some great pep talks. He starts to look forward to her visits. There's nobody on earth who is impervious to Mia's charms.
The first hint of dark drama we get is when Philia activates her circle over the country. A dark figure with flame red eyes and a menacing voice exclaims "I've found you!" It's over so quickly that Philia wonders if she imagined it? The barrier between hell and the surface of the Earth continues to deteriorate. The arch demon, Asmodeus, is able to send his shadow after Philia in an attempt to abduct her. She's his number one target. Enter Notis Elsa, the exorcist. She chased that Shadow into Philia's room where she defeats it. That's how the two meet.
The balance of the show is the two sister saints and their princes falling in love, they end up working together to fight Asmodeus, and we'll learn why he's obsessed with Philia. Oh, Julius has something comin, too. Philia didn't want to go to Parnacorta, but that's the place where she belongs. The king appreciates her. The crown prince appreciates her. The people adore her. And Osvalt, the 2nd prince, is madly in love with her.
At the very end, one of the last things we see is a hint of a smile. 😏
QUOTES🗣
Speaking your own mind is the only way to make things happen.
Failure is a right you earn only when you fight! If you never do more than run away and make excuses, you won't even rise to the level of failure! There's nothing wrong with failing! It means you can hold your head hi I'd say you didn't run from fate! It's a wonderful thing.

The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold to Another Kingdom , Saint Philia found herself standing at the edge of a new world, her heart a mix of trepidation and resolve. The carriage ride to the kingdom of Parnacorta had been long and winding, passing through verdant valleys and towering forests that whispered ancient secrets. As the wheels crunched over the gravel path leading to the grand castle, she couldn't help but wonder about the life that awaited her beyond these gates.
Her new home, though foreign, held a promise of fresh beginnings. The castle towers reached high into the sky, their stone walls a testament to centuries of history. Philia took a deep breath, straightening her spine and lifting her chin, determined to face this unexpected twist in her fate with grace and dignity.
She could forge her own path, step out of the shadow of her past, and perhaps even find a way to make a difference. With one last glance at the life she was leaving behind, she resolved to embrace this new chapter with courage and an open heart.

In a world ruled by nobles, the monster population is increasing. Soldiers can fight them, but real victory needs the help of rare Saints, women who can use magic to defeat and suppress the monsters. Saint Philia is currently the most powerful of the saints. Raised by indifferent parents and trained by a harsh mentor, she is also engaged to the crown prince. She is filled with self-doubt and keeps herself tightly self contained and emotionless as she is constantly criticized and harassed. The narcissistic Prince believes she is cold and superior, so he decides to sell her to a neighboring kingdom that is desperate to acquire a saint.
In this story, Philia's old fiance happily moves on without her, while Philia cautiously travels to her new home.
The setup for this story is well done, though (for me) the details of the writing don't always live up to its potential. The animation is reasonable quality and the Japanese voice actors are good. If this had an English dub, I might have scored it a little higher. It is worth a look and you may want to read the novels English translations if you want more depth.
