Truth is divine - it manifests either as coincidence or as a deliberate incident.
This film beautifully captures the journey of a woman, not just through her personal struggles, but also against the broader backdrop of politics, caste discrimination, and deeply rooted old-school ideologies. It's rare to see such a multi-layered narrative that doesn't shy away from showing uncomfortable truths - and it does so with honesty and grace.
Unfortunately, I missed the chance to experience it on the big screen, and that's something I truly regret. Films like these deserve to be celebrated in theatres, but even if we miss that opportunity, we must support them on OTT platforms. By doing so, we send a strong message to the industry - that audiences value content with depth, courage, and meaning. Only then can we hope for more such powerful stories to be told.

This movie is good in its treatment of social issue like honor killing in a different way. How the soul refuses to leave this worldd after death without the world knowing why?
It is really heart breaking movie but it is not preachy or too tear jerking movie. It is balanced and the rural setting is fantastic ic. The film is director debut but it doesn't look like it. Heroine Roopa is fantastic and so the rest of the caste. And the women takes more central stage in this movie. Overall a good movie.
It might seem the movie is bit slow and first few minutes seems like things moving in many directions with lots of characters and situations going on but it suddenly start makes sense once the death happens. Definitely worth watching.

Emakathagi is a film that takes its time, and that works in its favor. The story unfolds gradually, with the reveal of the protagonist's death handled in a subtle, almost understated way. It doesn't rely on dramatic twists-it lets the emotion build slowly.
The suicide mystery angle is approached with care. By the time the story reaches its climax, it feels genuinely emotional without being overly sentimental. The film uses metaphor and symbolism effectively, without overcomplicating things.
It's not a loud or fast-paced film, but it leaves a mark. The atmosphere, the pacing, and the emotional undercurrent all come together well. I gave it a 10/10 because I appreciate when a film is confident enough to be quiet, and still say something meaningful.

Worst Horror Movie Ever Made
If there were ever a competition for the worst horror movie in existence, this one would proudly take the crown without even trying. Calling it a "horror" film feels like an insult to the genre. Horror is supposed to scare you, thrill you, or at the very least keep you hooked out of curiosity. Instead, this movie manages to do the exact opposite-it irritates, frustrates, and makes you constantly question why you are still sitting through it.
From the very beginning, the pacing is off. Scenes drag on endlessly with no real purpose, leaving you stuck in awkward silences or badly executed "jump scares" that never land. The dialogue is so cringeworthy that you'll wonder if the script was written in a rush on the back of a napkin. The acting? Let's just say I've seen more convincing performances from high school drama clubs.
But the real problem isn't just the lack of scares-it's that the movie itself feels like an itch in the as*. You know the kind of itch that annoys you no matter how much you try to ignore it? That's what watching this film is like. It doesn't entertain, it doesn't frighten, it just irritates you until you finally give up and switch it off. And if, by some miracle of patience, you actually sit through the whole thing, the ending will leave you even more annoyed than when you started.
So, should you watch it? Only if you enjoy wasting two hours of your life for the cinematic equivalent of scratching an itch that never goes away. Honestly, save yourself the trouble. Life's too short for bad horror, and this one is as bad as it gets.
