Gal is taking both of her children and escaping from her abusive partner Leandro. They have nowhere to go and she has to play it by ear as well as stay cool for the kids and turn this escape into an adventure they will never forget.

Anna Muylaert and all of her amazing crew created a fantastic film they must be proud of: they managed to make a story of fear, abuse and violence into a true adventure and example of bravery, authenticity and responsibility. Best film of Jerusalem Film Festival I've seen so far. I strongly believe it must be seen by everyone, and it makes me feel like watching the previous works by this talented film director.

The film follows the struggle for survival of a marginalized woman who seeks to escape a violent relationship while leading her two children through the streets of São Paulo in a mixture of complete helplessness and an attempt to disguise the harshness of the situation from the children with games and challenges.
