OK, I watched this three part series and I have to say it is worth watching, but very disturbing at the same time. The first two episodes were really intriguing, showing the development of the family and the progress that slowly got them to wear everything blow apart. The third episode is just heartbreaking, difficult to watch, and Sickening as the events unfold before your eyes. Tragic story for all involved. Would I recommend it, honestly I don't know, after finishing it I just looked at my wife and said that was messed up. I think it does show the weird things people do and search for to find happiness.
Watching the show it is blatantly obvious that Jodi and Ruby abused those kids; if you've followed the case even remotely you know that. Apparently the only person that does not know that is Kevin. The last interview of the whole show is Kevin saying that he still loves Ruby and throughout he posits that he would always pick Ruby over the children. I don't care how great your memories are with someone if you learn that they are abusive: let alone to children, YOUR children, and to such a degree that those children were abused; your perspective changes. If your perspective doesn't change that's because you knew or at least don't care. I hope none of those kids have any contact with Kevin ever again and that they finally get the support and love that their parents were supposed to provide.
Oh and Ruby and Jodi were definitely hooking up. Nothing like faking demon possession to get into your girlfriend's house and kick her husband out.

The fact that a mother can do all of this to her family and not have remorse,(I don't think she meant her apology). But KEVIN WHAT ARE YOU DOING. I'm not saying he should have got the same sentence but dude you were there before you got kicked out of the house. Both of these women are despicable and the hurt you see on Chad and Shari on the archived footage is haunting, Ruby just treating them like trash, screaming at them because she is recording. I don't ever want to see something like this happen to children, the pain they all have to live with now is beyond comprehension. I'm just glad they were put in jail before anyone was killed. Series was good, some stuff with Kevin needed to be addressed more.
So frightening that the Father and son, believing that they were being lied and deceived to by police about Jody and Ruby all the way until the very end of the documentary. Father still loving his wife despite everything she had done. And, from the very beginning, the millions of followers believing in the "cult" of Ruby despite evidence of craziness.
Not only is this family nuts, but the neighbors, the male therapist, everyone being interviewed sitting in their perfect living rooms all gave me chills. ...and then, OMG, reading that the son is now an internet influencer despite all the abuse he received from day of living in front of the camera all his life. His scars are not physical like his baby brother, but boy will they be mental.
As observed by other reviewers, the only breath of fresh air and sanity is the oldest daughter. I"ll also add to that the police officers. The one that found the daughter, stating he that couldn't help but break down and the female cop that said this was the weirdest interviews she had ever.
This documentary is not only a metaphor but cautionary tale of life in the U. S in the 21st century, where seems like everyone is brainwashed about everything via the bombardment of info via the internet.
And the craziness didn't stop there as every ad (in the version I watched) was sponsored by HIMS and HERS and how hair loss, weight loss, depression can all be achieved discreetly via ordering online pills and/or potions. These ads remind me of the snake-oil salesmen of the Old west.

I watched this interesting crime documentary thinking in the beginning it was going to be just about Ruby being the baddie, but the more I watched it the more I got annoyed by her labile husband Kevin in this little weird 'Pleasantville' town in Utah. The fact of the matter is that he condoned everything and I was surprised he wasn't charged or held accountable for gross negligence. He wasn't brainwashed at all. He just complied with everything his wife wanted without any objection. He could've saved his kids if he had been stronger. And then in the end him saying he still loves his wife? Has the man no self respect?
It was sad to see the kids suffer at the hands of a delusional and possessed mother and conwoman Jodi. By the way, that whole town and the other people that were in this documentary gave me the creeps. Not only were they passive and naive but also weird and plastic. The only person I really like was the oldest daughter Shari. She is a strong and normal woman. I hope all the other children will grow up to be like her.
I would've preferred to see this without the husband and perhaps also the eldest son as I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth. And so I think two episodes would've sufficed...
