A Bold Take on Suspense and Supernatural

Finally, a Bollywood thriller that dares to be different-and succeeds! Baida offers a unique blend of suspense, mystery, and supernatural vibes that are rarely done right. The supernatural elements are subtle yet powerful, adding depth without going overboard. Sudhanshu Rai's intense performance anchors the entire film, and the supporting cast enhances the realism of the village setting. The cinematography deserves special mention-the eerie visuals create an unsettling atmosphere that lingers even after the film ends. The concept of time and reality explored in the movie makes it thought-provoking too. With its strong direction and gripping storyline, Baida stands out as one of the most engaging thrillers in recent years.

A Sci-Fi Trainwreck Not Worth Your Time

Baida had all the ingredients to be an intriguing sci-fi thriller, but it somehow manages to fumble every single one into a chaotic, unwatchable mess. Sudhanshu Rai, who I assume was meant to be the emotional anchor, delivers a performance so flat and lifeless that I couldn't care less about his character's fate-his blank stares and monotone line delivery sucked any potential drama right out of the screen.

The story itself is an incoherent tangle of time loops, supernatural mumbo-jumbo, and half-baked ideas that never come together into anything resembling a plot. Sourabh Raaj Jain's portrayal of the "pishaach" villain is supposed to be terrifying, but his over-the-top antics and the laughably bad CGI make him more of a cartoon than a threat.

The special effects look like they were pulled from a low-budget student film, and the pacing is so sluggish that I found myself checking my watch halfway through. By the time the film limps to its abrupt, nonsensical ending, I was just thankful to escape the theater. Do yourself a favor and avoid this disaster of a movie-it's not worth the ticket price or the headache.

Woottttttta movie... 😱

The concept is truly refreshing and unlike anything we typically see in Bollywood. It's so rare to come across stories that break away from the usual formulas, and this one brings something new and exciting to the table. We definitely need more such narratives in the industry, ones that push boundaries and showcase fresh perspectives.

What's even more impressive is the fact that the actors aren't star kids, yet their performances are absolutely outstanding. They have truly elevated the characters, making them feel so real and raw. It's a testament to their talent and dedication to their craft. You don't need a family legacy to shine in this industry, and these actors have proven that with their mind-blowing performances.

I'm eagerly waiting for the second part! The storyline has so much depth and potential, and Sudhanshu has done an incredible job weaving it all together. Can't wait to see what's next! Keep it up, Sudhanshu! 👏

Fake hype by production team

It's hilarious that the production team call the movie a sci-fi tale. Throwing in terms like 'Space & time' and 'electromagnetic fields' doesn't make a poorly executed fantasy film a sci-fi film. The acting by the main character is just expressionless, he carries the same constipated face throughout the movie. Bollywood needs to grow, it's too easy for the rich people to make movies in India, without any sort of talent and skill. The film is a prime example of that. The concept was okay but copied from Hollywood film Outpost (2008). The antagonist (Pishach) played by Sourabh Raj Jain, portrayed as a man from 1940s talks and behaves like a 2020s man. No work is done for the authenticity of the period the movie was set in. Poor and lazy film-making because Indian audience will accept anything if there's proper marketing. The protagonist Sudhanshu Rai's acting skills are 0.5 out of 10. He literally carries the same facial expressions throughout the movie, you just don't feel for the character. Super bad film-making. People calling it a masterpiece, have seriously not watched good content yet.

Mind Boggling Movie !

At first I thought it's some usual thriller, but once the movie flowed.. it was a different story and experience altogether!

Did not imagine that Bollywood would ever come up with such an original and unique concept!!

It's a must watch and some would still wonder what happens towards the end... Ram babu was exceptional, the character was deep and rooted The direction deserves an applause, all the other characters in the movie were exceptional!!

The character Golu balanced out the entire movie!

I recommend every science fiction lover should watch the movie as it's gonna have them brainstorm !!

unique concept and fresh content

If you're tired of watching the same old Bollywood formulas-repetitive storylines, over-the-top drama, and predictable endings-then this film is a breath of fresh air. It dares to break conventions and brings something truly unique to the screen. With an original concept, engaging storytelling, and refreshing performances, this movie offers a cinematic experience unlike any other. It challenges mainstream narratives, explores bold themes, and keeps you hooked till the very end. From thought-provoking dialogues to visually stunning sequences, every aspect of this film is crafted to offer something new. Unlike conventional Bollywood films that rely on star power and commercial elements, this movie prioritizes substance, creativity, and storytelling depth. It resonates with audiences seeking meaningful cinema, making you reflect long after the credits roll. Such a big waste of time and money SO DISAPPOINTED

I watched the trailer of Baida and instantly decided to watch the movie. Booked the tickets the same day and to my surprise the hall was empty just me and my wife. But it turned out to be a very bad experience. Felt like this movie doesn't deserve such a big release. A good chance wasted and nothing entertains you in the movie. The BGM is trying so hard to draw your interest but it can't compensate for a good script. Plot of the movie is so weak. Actors are trying to act but the characters aren't well written. Cinematography is good but nothing can compensate for a weak storyline. Its so slow just like a turtle but it couldn't win against the hare. Avoid this movie at any cost. Such a waste of time and money.

I would have given zero star, but it's not available.

Baida (2025) - A Time-Bending Emotional Odyssey

Baida (2025) is a mind-bending sci-fi drama that explores time travel through an emotional and philosophical lens. The story follows a young scientist who invents a device to revisit moments from his past, only to discover that altering time comes with heartbreaking consequences. Visually stunning and conceptually rich, Baida blends science fiction with deep human emotions. The narrative challenges fate, love, and regret, keeping the audience engaged through its twists. With strong performances and a hauntingly beautiful score, Baida stands out as a rare mix of heart and high-concept storytelling.

Pretty dumb storyline

I had high hopes from Baida because the marketing team called it a science fiction thriller. When I watched the movie in an empty movie hall, I realized there was 0% science in the movie and there was nothing interesting to keep the audience glued. No wonder Baida shows are being cancelled due to empty theatres. This is a dumb plot with zero execution to make it look relatable. The bad acting by the cast further proved movie will not stay in theatres for long, who gives permission to such movies to even play in theatres. The content is not even good enough for OTT. No matter how hard the makers are trying to call it a path breaking film, or the first Bollywood sci-fi thriller, or unique film, it's all a hoax and an agenda to attract audience. The movie is already a flop, it hasn't even reached 3 crores at the box-office even with a low budget of 10 crores, the movie is a sure shot loss to the makers. The background music try hard to give a feel that something interesting is going on but yawn, it was boring as hell. The producer or director have not watched good thrillers yet it seems. Baida is a bore fest, sorry to say. I wanted to like this film because the trailer got me hooked but it was boring and dumb. Not even fresh and unique, a film with so much of cliché and dumb plot holes.

Fake hype by filmmakers

Bad direction, plot holes and unexplained stuff, this pretty much summarize the whole movie. I would commend the filmmakers going into a world bollywood doesn't try too often, however, the direction was not at all upto the mark. The film is not as imaginative as the makers claim it is. The background music did try to put some thrill but fails. You don't feel what's going on the screen, don't feel related because there is no character development. You don't feel immersed in the universe the movie has created. Most probably because of the actor, there has to be an innocence, a vulnerability in such a character for the audience to feel the pain and fear, that was totally missing. That's why the audience don't feel it. The movie theatre I went to, had only 5 people watching the movie (excluding me). All of them were bored as hell. A movie that can easily be skipped to save time and money. If you have seen a lot of Hollywood movies, you will definitely not going to waste your time on this one.

A Cinematic Experience That Leaves You Spellbound

Baida is not just a movie; it's an experience that stays with you long after it ends. The plot unfolds like a complex puzzle, revealing new twists at every turn. Sudhanshu Rai's intense performance anchors the film, making every emotional and suspenseful moment feel real. The film's visuals are breathtaking, capturing the eerie village setting beautifully. The supernatural elements are presented with such precision that they enhance the mystery without overpowering the story. The climax is thought-provoking and powerful, making you reflect on what you've just witnessed. If you crave a thriller that's engaging, smart, and full of surprises, Baida will not disappoint..

A Bold Attempt That Delivers

In a time when predictable horror and thriller films dominate, BAIDA stands out with its unique blend of genres. The film successfully mixes history, mystery, and sci-fi with supernatural elements - and does it remarkably well. Sudhanshu Rai brings depth to his character, while Hiten Tejwani's performance in the chase scenes is impactful. But the highlight remains Sourabh Raaj Jain's Pishaach - dark, chilling, and memorable. The film's ability to mix suspense, humor, and intense moments makes it a perfect weekend watch. For those seeking something offbeat yet engaging, BAIDA is highly recommended.

Bad writing, bad direction, bad acting, bad plot

What have I just watched, oh my god this is super bad, worse than those 1990s b-grade films, at least they were more entertaining. Not a single actor showed they have any bit of acting skills. This looks like to be shot on a budget of 50 lac indian rupees, I don't have an issue with that. This is a dumb movie with a flawed plot. Only for dumb viewers. There is one plot hole after another, you keep waiting for something exciting to happen on the screen but it never happens. A sci-fi thriller with no sci-fi and no thrill. I was about to sleep in the second half but gatherer the courage to watch the full movie expecting a turnaround in the climax but that never happened. This is seriously bad and cheap filmmaking.

#Impeccable

The movie was a masterpiece from start to finish. The background score, editing-everything was flawlessly executed. The comic character, Golu, was my personal favorite. This film masterfully blends science fiction with supernatural horror, making it a rare gem in Bollywood. Its concept is truly unique for the industry and stands alongside films like Tumbbad.

However, this movie isn't for everyone. It caters to a niche audience-those who appreciate thought-provoking cinema like Inception and Tenet. If you're looking for mindless romance or over-the-top action sequences, this isn't for you. But for those who love intelligent and unconventional storytelling, this is an absolute must-watch!

A Mystery Thriller That Stays With You

BAIDA isn't just a movie; it's an experience. The film draws you in from the very first scene with a gripping chase sequence. As the story unfolds, layers of mystery, illusions, and supernatural elements build up, keeping you glued to the screen. Sudhanshu Rai's balanced performance keeps the film grounded, while Sourabh Raaj Jain's haunting portrayal of Pishaach is unforgettable. The cinematography, especially during the illusion scenes, is striking, and the background score keeps the tension alive. If you're tired of predictable horror-thrillers, BAIDA offers a refreshing change with its smart narrative and surprising twists.

A Script with Potential but Crushed by Poor Execution

Baida (2025) is a perfect example of how a potentially interesting script can be completely ruined due to weak direction, amateur acting, and zero production value. The concept might have had some promise on paper, but the way it has been executed on screen makes it nearly unbearable to sit through. I went in with low expectations but still ended up disappointed.

Firstly, let's talk about the production quality-or rather, the lack of it. This movie feels like it was shot on a shoestring budget, and it shows in every frame. Poor lighting, inconsistent sound, cheap sets, and awkward camera angles make it look more like a school project than a professional film. Honestly, even daily soaps on TV have better production standards these days. It seemed like someone just placed a camera in a random room and started shooting without any planning or direction.

Then comes the acting, which is possibly the worst part of Baida. The lead actor has zero screen presence and even less acting skill. His expressions are flat, dialogue delivery is robotic, and emotions? Non-existent. It felt like he was reading lines off a teleprompter for the first time in his life. Supporting actors were no better-stiff performances, overacting in some parts, and complete disinterest in others. The chemistry between characters was missing, making it hard to believe or care about anything that was going on.

The film tries to build emotional and dramatic moments, but fails miserably due to poor timing and terrible editing. Scenes that are meant to be intense come off as unintentionally funny. The pacing is painfully slow, and some scenes drag on for far too long without adding any value to the story. You keep waiting for something to happen, some twist or revelation, but all you get is disappointment layered over boredom.

One of the biggest letdowns is how the script-probably the only redeeming part of this mess-is completely wasted. It seems like there was an attempt to explore a meaningful theme, but that gets buried under cringe-worthy dialogues and incoherent storytelling. There's no proper buildup or character arc, and by the time the movie ends, you're left confused and frustrated about what the makers were even trying to convey.

Another major flaw is the technical aspect. The background score is jarring and out of sync with the emotions on screen. Sometimes it's too loud, sometimes awkwardly silent. The music does nothing to elevate the mood, and in some cases, it actually distracts from the scenes.

Also, the continuity errors and amateur mistakes are too frequent to ignore. In one scene, two characters are talking seriously while a plastic chair suddenly disappears from the frame mid-conversation. It's these silly details that show how careless and rushed the entire production was. No effort has been made to refine or polish the final product.

Overall, Baida is a textbook case of how not to make a movie. It's a 1 hour and 40-minute long test of patience. Watching it felt like a total waste of time. If you value your time and sanity, avoid this movie at all costs. Even watching a random daily soap episode would offer more entertainment and value.

Verdict: 1/10 - Just because 0 isn't allowed.

A new kind of cinema

It's rare to find a Hindi film where the storyline takes center stage, and BAIDA is one such film. The seamless blend of sci-fi and supernatural elements is executed skillfully, backed by strong performances. The film is layered and thought-provoking, leaving me with plenty of questions-so much so that my family was still discussing it late into the night. It also appears that the makers have intentionally left room for a sequel to continue the story. A special mention to the background score team-the BGM is absolutely outstanding. Hopefully, audiences give this film the recognition it deserves, as it truly stands out amid the usual formula-driven films.

Great watch

Some films entertain you, while others stick with you-BAIDA does both! It begins with a dramatic pursuit scenario before delivering unexpected surprises. A spy assuming a mundane sales job? Sounds strange at first, but as the story progresses, it all begins to make sense. As the spy takes over Pishaach, who is evil beyond time and space, Rambabu fights him fiercely. The negative reviews really surprise me here, as to how low somebody can stoop for two cents. At the end Dharma shall prevail. Sudhanshu Rai does a great job portraying the resolute lead, and his relationship with Golu (Shobhit Sujay) provides some amusing moments. Let's not forget about Sourabh Raaj Jain, who is a master at playing the part of Pishaach! He is the kind of villain that stays with you long after the film is over because of his unsettling demeanour and evil intentions.

Really Nice Movie and with new concept

I had really low hopes going into this picture because I have believed there aren't many good science fiction movies in India. But this one truly surprised me. The film's strength is its cleverly weaved supernatural premise, which is described scientifically but simply enough for even the average person to understand. I feel as though I'm stepping into several worlds, from the modern world to the British era to a little-known village. You smile as you leave the theater, because you have watch something absolutely fresh. What direction and performances, really impressive. Hopeful there will be a baida sequel.

A Thriller That Breaks Stereotypes

BAIDA brings a refreshing change by steering away from typical sci-fi clichés. Instead, it presents a gripping story that blends supernatural elements with emotional depth. The story keeps you guessing, and the film's smart direction ensures every twist lands effectively. Sudhanshu Rai's performance keeps the audience invested, but it's Sourabh Raaj Jain's villainous act that steals the spotlight. The film's impressive cinematography and gripping score add tension, making it hard to look away. With strong writing, well-crafted visuals, and memorable performances, BAIDA proves to be an exciting watch for thriller enthusiasts.

Out of the world

Truly a gem. It takes a lot to create something which no one has dared in the past. Loved it. Kudos to the team.

Storyline, concept, acting and presentation were almost close to perfect. It's important we all support such content as hindi cinema badly needs such makers. The initial pace almost took us into the world of baida and later the unfolding of mysteries made us stick to our seats. I was there with my friends and all were glued to the seats.

I give complete credit to the team though a little budget issue can be seen somewhere but storyline compensates for the same. I will wait for part 2.

A Film That Blends Science with Supernatural

BAIDA presents an interesting take on blending science fiction with supernatural elements. While sci-fi in Indian cinema is rare, this film manages to make it both entertaining and accessible. The story takes you from the present day to the British era, offering a mix of history, thriller, and horror. Sudhanshu Rai delivers a solid performance as the protagonist, but it's Sourabh Raaj Jain's sinister role as Pishaach that leaves a powerful impact. The film avoids the usual sci-fi clichés and instead builds a strong narrative with twists and surprises that keep you engaged. The background score is haunting, and the visuals create a mysterious vibe that enhances the story. If you're looking for something refreshing and different, BAIDA is worth your time.
